I don't know if there are any people on here that might like Enka. However, I thought I would share this. Enka is a, usually very melancholic, traditional form of Japanese music. It's beautiful and quite soulful.

A good friend named Atsuko introduced me to Jero.

He's a young American man who is of African American and Japanese descent. He took to singing Enka because his grandmother and mother loved to hear him sing in Japanese.



He's been performing in Japan, and it's not a gimmick. His voice is so smooth and very suited for Enka.

What I love about him is he is breaking down a lot of barriers and showing appreciation for classic music and transcending the norm.
