SJ-M debuts in the midst of oppositon, Han Geng responds


April 8th, SJ-M's members were officially chosen; this also includes the original Super Junior members: Han Geng, Siwon, Kyuhyun, Donghae, Ryeowook, there's also two new Chinese members --- Henry and Zhou Mi. At the Music Feng Yun Rank news center, Han Geng introduced the new members. One member is from Wu Han, singer Zhou Mi and the other from Canada but now coming back to his home country, Henry. April 8th was SJ-M's debut and also first time performing in China so it has caught a lot of attention.

But ever since SM Entertainment said to have a SJ-M group and adding new members, there were a lot of opposition from the fas. From BeiFang Online's netizens, a lot have commented that they don't wish to have new members, but of course they are fans who welcome SJ-M to China and wrote "Anticipating you all to perform with flying colors! SJ-M jiayou!".

Because of this situation, Han Geng yesterday made a response: "About the creation of SJ-M, there are people who oppose and there are people who support. What we have to do is to continue to work hard. We prepared this for a long time and will give our best to everyone. At the same time, we also need everyone's support and care. When I was in Korea, I was cared by a lot of the other Super Junior members, we're like family. Now, I'm taking 6 friends back home, I'm really happy and I hope we can get everyone's support." SJ-M's Korean members all used simple Chinese phrases to say hi to everyone. From here you can see SJ-M has preparation for the Chinese market.

But the fans opposition still has not rested. Whether or not SJ-M will create something big like Super Junior, only time will tell.

OMG. This is no joke, really.
Before SJM even debuted, I was hoping they would do something with Fahrenheit. (Just thinking of having two of China's most popular boy bands meet makes you faint - - ;; BATTLEEE lol)
Apparently SJM met Fahrenheit backstage and they had some moments together. SJM gave them some tips on dancing, lol.

- SiHan moment: in the beginning when Siwon felt something on his arm, Geng looked up and pointed at the air conditioner on the ceiling.
- when it was Donghae's turn, he helplessly looked around and called Hangeng for help.
- Siwon's expressions throughout the interview (dude, he's so handsome).

i didn't call anyone any names except what they're already calling themselves: only13. if it'll help my case, i fully support the 13 and i don't want any members added in the original. however, i was referring to the banners, those that state "the way suju.m should be" w. henry and zhoumi edited out. that's not the way suju.m is, and i do think it's disrespectful, not only toward the two in question but also toward people like geng who have worked so hard to get sjm going. the original members don't have a problem w. zhoumi and henry; do fans who claim to want suju to succeed have the right to shaft them like they've been doing?

It was mentioned that SM is looking for the 'next' Hangeng and Geng gave a few words to those that are gonna audition for SM in China. Also, it was said that the members call back to the members in Korea everynight. & Geng mentioned how they missed Leeteuk, Kangin, Heechul, Shindong and other members, and the first night they were there, they called back to let them know that they have reached safely and the things that happened and such <3

They're looking for new members in China to expand their market in China, so in some ways its like looking for the next Hangeng.

He's so good. Especially the 2nd part..that was really good.

I think either it's after he passed the SM audition or before he went to Korea to participate in Don't Don or before he went to Korea to prepare for Suju M because at the end, the other guy gave him a bouquet of flowers and told him "Henry,...we've known you for 6 yrs now and probably a couple yrs more and we just wanna say good luck in Korea and we'll miss you." it sounded like a program and kinda like a farewell to him too before he left for Korea and sounded like his friends/classmates were there and maybe his parents too(?)



I think Hankyung really opened doors for other people esp in his homecountry to audition and hopefully train for SM in Korea. I'm sure they get inspired by Hankyung and seeing him will make them wanna work harder to be where Hankyung is now.

Geng is irreplaceable & one of a kind, but yeah he did open China market for Korean entertainment. Before he debuted in Super Junior, Korean artists are already popular amongst Chinese fans but it was a whole different popularity when he came out. Now even regular citizens know who Super Junior are because one of their own is part of that group. Again, great marketing strategy for SM.

I don't think they meant it literally. I think what they meant, at least what i got from it was, they'll be holding another audition in China, they're gonna look for someone who they'll train in Korea, someone who will be a Chinese artist who's active in Korea and can be as successful as Hankyung is now. Someone who will be able to be successful in both Korea and i guess China as well. I know SM already has Ri In but maybe they're looking for a male solo artist this time? or maybe another female solo artist? or a new boy/girl group?

For sure no one's gonna be like Hankyung but they can aspire to be as successful as Hankyung is. And i think Hankyung has definitely opened doors for other people in his homecountry and maybe other countries as well. They probably said the next "Hankyung" because he also audtioned/trained for SM in China and now he and suju are really popular in Korea & China. He's sort of like a very good example of what they're looking for. Besides, as soon as someone says 'hangeng' or 'suju's hangeng', most people recognize him right away

I'll always love SuJu but I think right now I'm gonna just devote my attention & support to SJM since they are new & they have SO many many many ppl not supporting them. So I'll support them.

It's kinda hard for ppl not to be so overly offensive. I'm usually not like that but with how things are right now you can't help but get offensive over something. Things right now are still kinda hectic. That's why ppl need to seriously "THINK" before they "SPEAK" you know...
I wouldn't be how I am if some ppl didn't have to be so negative towards ZhouMi & Henry or the subgroup in general. If ppl just stated there opinion in a respectable & nicer way I think some ppl wouldn't have been overly offensive towards it.
Not everyone that said something negative was harsh or rude but some were & that's why I just felt like I needed to defend ZhouMi & Henry.
I always go for the underdogs cause I feel bad & these two are the underdogs.
The more some ppl continue to be rude & harsh to these two & the group the more I start to "lean more into them" & forget all about SUJU itself, but I will always love & support Super Junior.
