Lee Eun Ji was a young girl who was a guest on the show that Kang Ho Dong hosted called "Star King" where they usually feature young stars and their talents and achievements (or at least that's what I've been seeing on there). Lee Eun Ji was on the show to tell her story about how she lost a significant amount of weight (I forgot exactly how much....45kg?) in such a short period of time (maybe 3 months?) in order to fulfill her grandmother's wish.

Super Junior was on the show, and they praised her achievement. Later on, she (or someone) posted a picture of her on the internet with Kang In together back stage. It was innocent, she was just a fan who wanted a picture with him. But some SUJU fans bashed her continuously online because of jealousy and that eventually lead her to committing suicide because she couldn't handle all the pressure and harrassment.

Oh my gosh, some of you worry WAY to much! First it is just a rumor that they will be staying in China for 2 years and if they do so what! They have to spend time in the country they are marketing too and the other SUJU members have all sorts of projects, so they will be busy too and you still have the tour.

These are grown men (and Henry lol) and they can handle it people. When you get into this busienss, you have to work HARD to stay on top and that may mean no vacations.

Also what is this I hear that some people are worried about them not being in Korea? So only Korean fans should see them. You cannot just keep them to yourself. America has not even had a chance to see SUJU and I do not really count the Hollywood Bowl concert. They do have other fans in other countries.

Oh and about the fans knowing SM, I am not so sure about that because they really thought their protest would do some good and it did not. It is a business, that is why it is called show business and that means everything does not go your way (both as an artist and fan).

If anything I think until SM saids they are dumping SUJU (at which I will personally fly to Korea and rip LSM a brand new one), everything will be fine.

Oh and can we not bring the assumptions and worries in this thread? Lets keep the support and positivity.. we do love them right?

What drove her to commit suicide was actually a fight with her mom. She left a note saying something like "I'm sad to have been scolded, etc." Some Elf (ten or so according to her friends) did attack her online but they weren't the only ones. Her classmates also did. I'm sketching out the SJM members for fun! I've started drawing Ryeowook...but then I realized that I drew his body too big so I've decided to start over. It's been a long while since I've pulled myself away from photoshop and actually started pencil sketching. Eeep, but school starts tomorrow again...I probably won't have time to finish until exams are over.

First, only-13 fans were not too kind to alot of people, so there you go.....


It is not that we do not understand only-13 elf but we just think they are over the top. You cannot have everything you want. Show business is not necessarily for the fans but the record companies and artists to succeed. Yes the fans help but they are given the choice to help support their artists.

It is like working for a regular company, the company hires you not because they necessarily are worried about you succeeding but they want you to help them succeed, that is why they ask "why would you be a good candidate for the job?"

Same with SUJU, they work for SM and were picked not necessarily only so they can be famous but also for SM to make money.

The fans are an added bonus but not the whole importance. And the reason why they are not the whole importance because record lables know how fickle people can be and fans pick and choose who they support and that can change often.

Of course we all will be with SUJU until the end (myself included), but that is not always the case with every fan.


P.S. this is just my opinion, so I hope nobody thinks I am trying to be a know-it-all... so sorry in advance.

You are right consumers do need to like what is being produced but Korean fans are only a fraction of SUJU's success, so if they do not support SUJU, there are still fans in other countries who will support them and they will always make new fans.

Look at Britney Spears, yeah her career is non existing and she probabaly lost fans but she can always gain more and there are still fans who are there with her.

SM knows very well that SJM will bring in attention, no matter if it's seen in a negative way or positive way. That's why he ignored all protests done by Only13 and continued with his plan. SM may have gained a whole lot of new fans to support SJM, but they did indeed lost a whole lot of the old crowd.

Wouldn't it be just perfect if SJM not only gained new fans but kept the old ones as well?
If SJM is successful even with just the new fans, than I can't imagine how successful they would be with their old fans as well.

i think ELF are upset becuz by giving others the "suju" name would probably automatically give them popularity..the original 13 members of suju worked hard to be so popular and suddenly 2 other ppl gets added and becomes popular thru the name and hardwork of the original 13.that's probably one of the reasons why they're upset. In fact, most of us in this thread LOVE the letter. I myself too LOVe that letter, as it expresses all of my feelings regarding SUJU-M and ELF too. there's only 1 thing i didn't like about the letter, and its the suicide thing. there's really no proof that ELF caused the girl to suicide. Maybe people who were PART of ELF may have left some mean remarks on her website(or watever), but like i said before, don't stereotype it as ELF's idea to bash the girl. It was just a couple of fans.(i don't know the exact number of suju fans that bashed the girl but i'm 100% sure that not all of ELF did that). The letter is awesome and literally well written. It does a GREAT job in making the ELF's look bad WITHOUT bashing them. Not that i WANT the ELFs to look bad, i'm just saying the author has an incredible writing ability.

I too, am getting weary of ELF's actions and thoughtS sometime too. I don't have a problem with their PRO-13 protests, but the reasons that they GIVE for the protest seems kinda...weird. essayistic I think most of us here do agree with that guys letter, many have even said so. The only thing is, only 13's come in here and use the opportunity to defend themselves, thus creating arguments... which we do not want. Yes this is a SJ-M thread but we can't offend the only 13 people ._.

Kyuhyun: I wonder why Zhoumi won't look at me... he must like Ryeowook more afterall .__.


To everyone referring to Henry's cheeks as marshmellows, dumplings, mochi, etc. You're making me want to squish and eat his cheeks at the same time =p
They're so doughy I would never be able to keep my hands off them. haha.

That's mainly the reason why I became an ONLY13 supporter, yet I still love Henry (gotta love mochi) and ZhouMi (he's growing on me, after seeing his other emotions other then that shivering stare). Those in China who aren't fans, but know Super Junior, will immediately think of that large group in Korea with the first Chinese to be such a huge success and popularity (do you not see what Hangeng's fans do in his name o_O).

Anyways, I really wish that those who are ONLY13 and PRO7 aren't always judging a book by its cover. I mean not all ONLY13 fans should be bashed and same goes for PRO7. Yet, I think my small peace offering shall not be heard by anyone, seeing as there are always at least one or two people who just go ahead and start the war all over again. The moment there is peace, I skip a couple of post and next thing we all know, the whole 'must stab them!' begins again.

OMG! Hangeng is now proud mama and Siwon is proud papa.
Leeteuk and Kangin are now grandparents!
I'll share my theory here.

Siwon visited China when Hangeng had visa problems (they're already married!). They had adopted a child and his name is ZhouMi. Then they had to leave ZhouMi in the care of LSM because they had to get ready for the 2nd album. Henry, they learned was their nephew, since Sungmin had adopted him along with Kyuhyun (my theory from the Sungmin hugging Henry picture). Soon, after all promotions for Don't Don and Marry U were done, they were finally reunited with their ZhouMi. BUT! They couldn't return to China and spend a happy family life together because it might bring suspicions. So with the help of LSM, a new sub-unit was created to hide the fact that they were a family trying to run away! Defintely Hangeng, Siwon, and ZhouMi were going to be in the group. LSM decided to throw Henry in too because he's Chinese. Then Kyuhyun had to come along because Henry was still the baby and needed love from his papa. But because papa still needed to be monitor just in case of his health, Donghae was sent along by Sungmin to watch over him. Then they figured that 7 would be a cooler number and just in case Donghae was a nutcase, Ryeowook was sent along as the nanny. AND THAT IS THE FORMATION OF SJM!

All the while, back in Korea, Leeteuk and Kangin are being called daily by both Hangeng and Siwon because they're new at the parenting thing and need help. =D

i have a few questions :

WHy they change member when performing in China?
What happen to Kibum , heechul, and other original members?
