Actually, his dream started when he won his first competition (2001? or a bit later....) which dates back even before the existence if suju. He's been in the entertainment industry for quite some time now, but from what I see, he didn't manage to break in the market and joined SM knowing they could offer better oppurtunities.

...and the fact that his Chinese is the most fluent among the rest who aren't Chinese so yeah...that may be a reason .

Not just you. He does seem different, but i'd attribute that to the fact that he's the 2nd oldest member of sjm. And he's had a lot of expereince in China before. I wouldn't say arrogant. I think it's more on the fact that Siwon has always been the type who wants to express himself/his opinion (he said this himself in an interview, cant remeber which) and because of the language barrier, he uses his facial expression, hand gestures and body language more to express himself better. And you know how Siwon is with facial expressions and his bodyshrugs. very LOL and over the top.
I kind of got a little off with Siwon when I first watched his appearances with SJM, before I just used to laugh at his facial expressions because it's so funny but then, it kind of got annoying.. But, eventually, I understood why he was being like that..To me, it's a need for Siwon to be more aggressive because of the language barrier that makes the other members left like "what?" whenever they do appearances..He's actually helping to lighten up the mood and avoid awkward moments, though sometimes he's overdoing it..Just consider it like Siwon growing or maturing, Lol!..Not all of them should act cutesy-patootsy, leave that to Henry, Ryeo and Donghae.. i always save important images from sm ent. ^^v anyway, he won the "daesang" in that audition but as u can see in that image, it says "Kim Ki Hoon". Zhoumi was actually recommended by Kim Ki Hoon (his highschool friend if i remembered it correctly) that's why it was his friend's name that was listed there, not zhoumi. in the sm ucc audition, there were several categories and that includes the Recommendation Category. zhoumi's audition is an audio of his korean singing skills, which is good. ^^ i think i have DLed his audition vid. i'll try to find it tomorrow and upload it...
but what puzzles me is this - i swear i've seen some of zhoumi's pics at naver's sm trainee fan cafe around early 2006. O_O it's so weird... *bangs head on wall*

For ex: If DBSK sells a Japanese album, for me the "original" one would be to buy the Japanese version because they are singing in japanese although they also sell the Korean version.

Well, Kibum can sing/rap/dance but the rest of the members do those things a bit better. I'm guessing that Kibum was put into Super Junior because of his acting and his looks. We must remember that although Super Junior is a singing group, they are also put together to do other stuff as well, MCing, acting, CFs, models, etc. They aren't all specialized in dancing/singing/rapping. In terms of music Kibum is slightly like the weakest link in the group. Shindong also didn't get a ton of lines as well. However, Shindong is very important in terms of MC/dancing. Every member has their strengths which is why they were put into SUJU in the first place. Kibum pwns at acting. Which is why he's special. :3 lol Siwon is slightly a little bit better than Kibum in those (music) aspects, plus he has experience in China, which Kibum does not. What I'm mostly wondering about is what's Yesung going to do.
I mean at least Kibum has modeling/acting/CFs. What about Yesung??!! ;3;Disclaimer: About Kibum, this is just my own personal opinion in his position in Super Junior. It doesn't mean that he isn't awesome as hell though. lol

is more of the looks/feel time like he has the mysterious
aura kinda thing that makes people attracted to him. i think
that's why he was put into suju, i mean he didn't even audition
o.o but he definitely does add a lot to suju. and about yehsung
i don't know why yehsung wasn't put in here......... he has
an awesome voice!
