I love SID. They're so good. I only have three of their albums; I can't find play #9.
My favourite song by them is Ajisai, probably because that was the first song I heard from them. Aribai is really good too.

Mitsuyubi is the song that got me addicted to them. It was something new and fresh and i like the mix of jrock with kinda jazz vibe into it. I liek their new song Namido no Ondo. I like Mao's voice a lot..very nice and pleasant to listen to ^^

YAY SID THREAD! <33 i love SID hehe. my fav songs are Otegami and Namida no Ondo! their songs are soo nice! jazz, ballad, rock, pop all in one! My fav is Mao! =D though Aki is really sexy haha

yeah, a SID thread...ahh...i really like them. I don't think they're VK anymore, they're something else, but they've got awesome music and personally, i think, they should get more fans (no offence), and Mao and Yuuya are so dorky and lovable during interviews.

yeah they're not vk anymore. I think Mao mentioned it in his blog before that they've always wanted leave the VK scene because they cant very well express their style of music while they're VK. And I think they look better now too. Aki, Yuuya & Shinji suited the VK look and attitude, but I didnt think Mao looked comfortable with it (based on what I observed in their comment clips form VK days). Just my observation
Anyway, two of my favourite songs are from their VK days: Ajisai & Alibi.

yehh they arent VK anymore haha. i think they look better hehe, especially Mao. though i really liked Shinji's look when he was VK xD
yeh SID is quite underrated i think >< they arent as popular as the other jrock bands. they should be noticed more, their music style is really unique! hehe

SID literally just announced at their tour final "period" that they're finally going major. They'll be releasing a new album entitled "Side B complete collection ～e.B～" on 13th August, it will be made up of all their past singles' coupling tracks + one new song.
It will be released in 3 types, Types A + B will each come with a DVD.
Their last indies tour is a livehouse tour and starts on 2nd June ~ 26th July, a total of 28 stops if I'm not wrong. Tour final = Budokan.

Their music is awesome and i have to admit Mao has such an amazing voice that I SWEAR ... no vocalist could ever have the same tone as him.

^I believe it's unnecessary to be so hard on him.
Of course, the Japanese pronunciation is SHI-DO, but in English, it's probably pronounced SID/CID. It's just like how we'd pronounce Gazette GA-ZE-TO in Japanese and GA-ZET in English.
As for SID, I really like some of their older songs like Alibi and Yoshikai Manabu 17, but I'm not too into their newer stuff.. I do agree that Mao's an excellent singer, though at times, he gets carried away with his vibrato xD. I also miss their jazzy style.. They're drifting more towards the pop direction

The beginning surprised me SOOO MUCH! It sounded so different from their usual beats but once I heard Mao's voice, I thought "Ah, it's SID."
It kinda reminded me of their old music...only louder(?) and more jrockish
I like it A LOT!
I love the drums!! Im sure Yuuya will be rockin' the live performance of this song

On October 29th, newly major SID will release their first single on major label Sony Music. The title track will be called “Monokuro No Kiss”. Three types will be released: two, A and B types, will include DVDs, with the third including just the CD. The b-side song is called “season”, and a live version of “and boyfriend”, a song off their last album “Sentimenal Macchiato”, will round out the track list. The DVD contents have not yet been announced. “Monokuro no Kiss” will also be used as the opening theme song for anime “Kuro mini coopersuji”, which will begin running in October.
Speaking of DVDs, the group is also releasing one from their 2008 tour. “SIDNAD Vol.3 ~Tour 2008 Sentimental Macchiato~” is due out on October 15th.
