Please fix your signatures if you are violating the signature rule/policy by 5/10/08. We are going to perform a system wide check on 4/30 and you WILL get a 20% warning if your signature is found to be violating the rules. No excuses and no exceptions. Please do not respond in a violent/hateful manner when you get the warning. You have been well warned in advance.

This may seem petty to a lot of people, but the reality is that when users continue to have large images and numerous lines of text in their signatures, it greatly impacts the usability of the forums. After all, people use the forums primarily for the content within posts; not look at your signature. As a courtesy to your fellow members and Soompi.com, please correct your signatures as soon as possible.

Although we are scheduling this automated check on 5/10, please note that if any Mod team member manually catches any violations prior to this date, you will still be warned. This does not mean that you have until 5/10 to fix your signature. It just means that on 5/10, everyone still violating the sig rule will be caught. The sooner you do it the better.

Please DO NOT under any circumstances pm or ask a moderator if you are breaking the sig rule or not. I have confidence that everyone is capable of reading and understanding the sig rule on their own. If you feel really paranoid about it, then best suggestion I can make is to reply to this announcement, and possibly other members can help you reassure any doubts.

So many people have been breaking the rule, its ridiculous. It's been driving me crazy with so many humongo images and GIFs @_@ xD

I'm pretty sure i'm not breaking the rule..I only have four three lines of text.
I understand. I was breaking the rules before when I put a graphic in my siggy & then i checked the properties of the image & saw it was over the limit so I took it off before anyone warned me.
So yea i'll just stick to lines first then put a nice banner on later.

It's good that you guys have this because i have seen many ppl breaking the rule.


You should check the properties of your images. They look like they may be over the limit.

oh yay...there are so many people breaking the siggy rules...i myself got warned..i didn't even know that it was over 40 kb...learned my lesson and changed it. hopefully this will make people check the sizes and stuff before make it their siggy =]

I always thought.. When it said 1 image on one line, I thought it literally meant one line. For example:

1 image
---(imaginary line)--
1 image

(i mean one image sitting on top of each other)

but everyone does 1 image (space) 1 image. Is that, correct? I dont think so?

I also have a q, in other forums with the size of the banner, they add both banner sizes to equal the required amount. Its 40kb for a banner, but just for ONE banner right? I think I've seen some people ask about it....

But yea, it says it point blink in the requirement so. Maybe I'm just asking too many weird q's. lol.

actually mine's alright because i just measured the administrator's sig length with a ruler and measured mine; and it's about the same. xD ha!

Both the images are under 12kb so its fine. You guys should save your images (save for web in ps)

Oh this is awesome! I've been waiting for this since forever! I got warned once and was upset because many others had siggies bigger than mine.. xD I thought, "If they can get away with it, how come I can't?"... lmao... I'm well over being upset but this will definitely make me feel a lot better. lmao!

Hm...I thought I was following the rules. Guess not. I changed my siggy now. My first banner is 380x175 and is only 36KB. My second banner is 400x175 and 40KB. Is it still breaking the rules?

CHANGE FROM JPEG FILE TO GIF!

Gif files are much smaller in size, however you do lose a little quality... but hey, that doesn't really matter cuz all computers show the image the same way in pixel/inch.

I noticed a few people around with huge freaking pictures in their signatures... Didn't it used to be that it wasn't even POSSIBLE to put an image there that was too big and it'd stop you if you tried? Huh.

even if your image is breaking the rules by a few pixels, you will still be warned.

@mopwns it has a filesize so it is considered to be an image.
