Lately for some reason I've just had a mad hankerin' to listen to the 90's alternative rock songs, those ones they used to play on the radio all the time... The one's most people forgot about until they hear it again and go "I remember that song, holy crap." Or at least that's what I did... <<;

Anyway, I mean songs around the lines of these:

The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony
Third Eye Blind - Jumper
Third Eye Blind - Semi-charmed Life
Oasis - Wonderwall
Vertical Horizon - You're a God
Savage Garden - I Want You (Cherry Cola) (okay, so this isn't really alternative, but I like this song too XP)
Fuel - Homerrhage (In My Hands)

I can't really think of many more. Any kind souls have some recs?

This is a good list of what the 90s was made of.
petit_charat
Nirvana - although they were more grunge.
90s britpop - Oasis, Pulp, Blur, Massive Attack, The Verve, Stone Roses (late 80s, early 90s), Radiohead
Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins (although they "technically" started in the 80s, they were pretty big in the 90s)
i think sonic youth and smashing pumpkins are the two bands i associate the most with the 90s alternative scene. that and of course the great kurt cobain.

PJ Harvey and Bjork were (and still are) pretty influential as well.
