Well, I had been taking the same train for a good 4 years and because it was a long trip, I often slept.

One day, I was really tired and about to miss my stop when this lady woke me up. I'd seen her on the train for a few years. Guess she remembered where I had to get off. xD I had a test that day too. Lucky me.

a student came up to me and told me my belt was unstrapped
i'm glad my skirt didn't slip .___.

I was locked out of my car and some stranger went half a mile to get a phone number that I can call to get my car door unlocked, but it turned out they couldn't do it. So another stranger later walked by and helped me out and unlocked my doors. :]
<3 for six seasons
i was in a cafe then when i didn't realize that when i left,
i forgot my cellphone at the table where i sat down.
then minutes later, a guy came up to me.. i think the guy
was seated at the table right next to me. He went to me and
gave my cellphone.

Good thing he didn't claim it as one of his own.
Nice guys.. are hard to see this days. ;X

My sister and I got lost in Seoul two years ago (we're aren't Korean, nor do we speak Korean, so we were completely, utterly lost, haha)... We were supposed to meet up with friends at their apartment. But we got off at the wrong subway station. We walked like lost kittens for a good 30 minutes or so in the freezing cold (it was February, winter! T_T) before we decided to go into a random building which seemed like an apartment building. Turned out it was a church. :O We tried to ask for directions from this old man, but he didn't understand English.

Instead, he directed us to someone who did. Luckily, that man understood English really well, and he asked for our friend's number. He got the directions from her, then he offered to drive us there. Initially, we were reluctant because he was a complete stranger. @_@ But we decided to take a risk and go with him. During the car ride, he told us that when he went to New York a few years back, he got lost too. And some nice Americans helped him. So, when he met us that day, he said we reminded him of himself. Haha. ^^;; We got to the apartment safely and thanked him profusely for going out of his way and missing mass just so he could drive us to our friends' apartment and make sure we didn't get lost anymore. :D

once i got outbalanced from my motorcycle and this old woman helped me stood up and even massaged my back and asked if i was okay. she was nice indeed although i forgot to ask for her name.
epique.
a stranger gave me a £5 (I live in the UK) and I refused the money. But she wouldn't let go. =)

I was in a very long line at a store and suddenly a lady that came in later she just popped in the line and I am not that big >< so another lady said that I was first ^^

I'm one of those people that the popular mean kids like to pick on, I don't know why, but anyways I was walking past a group of them to my locker, and one of the mean kids tried to trip me. To my UTTER SURPRIZE one of them in the group said, "Hey! Don't trip her, thats Bella!"

I was so surprised...

There was this one guy at school and he had a really cool hair style so I told him that I liked his hair and my money wound not go into the vending machine so he gave me a dollar and when I offered to give him my money he just said no it's ok.
He still has awesome hair to this day. smile.gif

The most recent nice thing was when someone in the elevator said "Good morning" and smiled. I know it's not much, but I thought it was really nice.

The nicest thing ever? I can't think of one definite event which was the nicest, but the one I remember is when my friend lost my wallet at the movie theater and the employee turned it into the lost and found. There was quite a bit of money in there ($300 from my mum) so I was afraid that someone took my wallet or turned in my wallet but kept the money. Everything was where it should have been so I was very thankful.

One time a stranger help me pick up my stuff that was drop on the floor. Of course, some people will stop by and help pick up the stuff...but only a few.
And theres this time where I slept on the subway and it pass my stop. A kind lady, who I think was in her late 40's, wake me up. I don't know her or remember where I saw her either. But I stop at Avenue M when my stop is Avenue U. biggrin.gif

I accidentally left my purse in the school's library and a stranger found it and gave it back to me

I tend to open doors for people when I'm out at public places
and normally they just brush me by and walk into the store

but one time I was going into B+N (it has 2 doors) and I opened the first one for a kid and his dad and then when I went in after, the kid opened the second door for me and I was like "huh??"

how embarrassing laugh.gif

"what comes around goes around" (the dad said that)
meep~ :x

++
I tend to lose things a lot
and
well, normally people take it

but once this guy told asked me if that thing was mine and yup~ biggrin.gif
angelcadex
Not for me, but for my dad, which made me think there are still good people in the world.
My dad had dropped his cell phone in a parking lot, but he realized it when we were already 20 minutes away, so after doing his errand we quickly drove back. But on the way back my dad's cell phone was calling mine, and it was a man who had found it and was waiting for us if we were going back =] lol its funny he was a middle-aged white guy and was like "Are you coming back? Yeah dawg!" and the last convo I had with him thanking him he said "WORD!" XDD just the way he said it, very forced XD It was very uplifting...tongue.gif
YOON
this stranger opened the door for me but he opended it while bowing slighting with a hand gesture and i felt like i was a princess blush.gif

'Is this your backpack?'
Yeah, I lost my backpack on the bus and a guy picked it up for me and returned it. Thank God because I wouldn't be able to get home without my bus pass and it had all of my school work and money in there. Phew. ^^;
He went to my school, so I don't think he counts as a stranger even though I've never seen him before. I just knew because he wore the uniform. Now he's the guy I like (Not because of that incident). Coincidences? x]

once i was in the store and i didn't have enough money for my food.
so a stranger kindly paid for me and i said that i'll pay her back but she refused.
another time was when a guy held the door for me.
i guessed that's what all strangers do nowadays.
aznshorty
idk if u call this nice[or just being polite] but i was kinda lost and i was looking for my friends.

we went out together, but i couldnt find them anywhere.

some guy came up to me and asked if i was lost. i nodded my head and he just looked around for people my age.

he pointed in a direction, and there they were!

my eyesight must have been really bad if i couldnt see them across the street.[it was crowded!]<-lame excuse.
pencil_geeks*
I <3 reading about acts of kindness.

I don't know if they're nice or not but I remember two of them! Maybe 3.

Once I was in a rush to get to class. I guess my chapstick fell out of my pocket. The guy behind me picked it up and yelled. I heard it but I thought he was talking on the phone because he kept yelling HELLO!HELLO! HI!. I finally looked back and he was like you dropped this all the way back there. I was like omg.. thanks..

Another day, I was walking into school. The guy looked back to see who was behind him to see whether he had to hold the door or not. I was really far away but he stood there until I got there and let me in first. Some other guy did that to me except he was already inside but came back out toopen the door for me.

I thought it was nice. I've always guys don't know how to be gentlemen anymore.

"Nicest Thing A Stranger Has Done For You." ? ... Well a girl I've never met before was doing things for me like as if she was my girlfriend... biggrin.gif It was niiiIIiice...

I once got on a bus behind a guy, who dropped his pen.
So I handed it back to him, and he was sitting there for the bus journey (must've been about half an hour) doodling on his pad of paper.
And just as he got off the bus, (which was the stop before mine) - he turned around and handed me a sheet of paper with a drawing of a flower on it
I looked it and it said something like "Thank you for the pen, God bless you."

It was really quite cute.
baoi
i don't know many kids in my class.. but this one time i left my phone in the classroom
and someone picked it up for me.. gave it to the prof and he emailed me..
Good thing i have NOTHING in my cellphone, ever.. haha

In big cities, Opening Doors for strangers (esp if they're behind you) is always common.
But that's just soo KIND! I love it when people keep the door open for me.. i always do it
to people too (if i'm not in a hurry)

Oh, and stupid people yelling out perverted comments are NOT kind.

That's really sweet smile.gif

When I was 10 and in dance class, our lessons were always held in the local community college. After we danced we were always reallllly hungry, so we always ordered from the cafeteria. My cousin and I were getting our food when some college guys came in. One guy was sooo nice to us. His friends were playing around, cursing and stuff, and he told them to quit it because we were there and I guess he wanted to protect our young ears XD. He also paid for our food as well. When we tried to pay, he was just like: "No! No! I've got you! I've got you! You girls just go and eat."

Haha. To me that's the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me laugh.gif. Free food, man. That'll make me remember you forever.

A girl at school i didn't know (don't even see her around much) paid for the dollar I was missing for my lunch.

Holding doors are common i do it all time and people hold the door for me too.
One day I was skating and i fell and this guy came over and helped me up while everyone else was just. laughing and doing nothing.

Well this isnt really a stranger. But it's one of the nicest things that my friend [he wasnt really my friend then, i didnt really know him] did for me. my school band took a trip to disneyland, and it was at night, i was in a group with my best friend and her friends, my ankle was hurting, and my other friend kept on calling me to hurry up and get to this one place. then my friend saw me walking a bit behind and he turned around, walked towards me, took my phone, said somthing, hung up, gave me back my phone, and got down with his back towards me and offered to carry me back over there.

it was really nice of him. he's really caring and all, but most of the time he seems like a big bully. after that we became closer friends. i've seen him around though, never really talked to him until then.
moochuchuu
aww. people are so sweet :]

well once i was walking home from the train station && i sneezed. =.= STUPID ALLERGIES.
then this dude who was walking past me said "blessyou"
it was nice xDD

this other time, i dropped my cellphone on the train.
this guy from behind me picked it up and gave it to me.

theres this stranger who was nice to my mom :]
my mom, my sister and i were walking and she stepped on something slippery.
she fell and hurt her ankle. a passing car stopped asking if she was okay.
it was so sweet and nice.
PredictMe
There's this time when I asked my parents to come pick me at the bus stop.
And they kinda miss me and i watched them pass a few times but I was too far away to run over and stop them.
I saw them heading back to home and I was panic cause I've been waiting for like 1 hour.
So I went into a shop and ask the shop keeper if I can borrow his cellphone.
He's a little worried but he borrowed me anyway.

I was thankful and that's about the nicest thing a stranger ever done for me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My family is very nice to strangers.
When it's raning, and they see older people [stranger] standing there waiting,
they would just ask them where they live and take them home.
Yup, they'e kind. =)

One old man gave me $1.25 randomly out of nowhere so that I could go ride on the horsey ride(the ones where you insert a coin).
That's more than enough to ride that horsey.
I didnt even ask for the money, he just came up.
He was obviously drunk though because all I could smell was budweiser.

Um...my friend and I were waiting to get a parking spot, but someone else took the spot...so the lady who previously had the parking spot stopped her car, came out, and yelled at the person. It was freakin' awesome.

One time I was playing Rock Band on drums, and I lost my beat and was getting really frustrated. A guy behind me started counting out the beat for me and pretty much guided me through the whole song. I thought that was really sweet of him since everyone else was laughing at how badly I was failing :x.

We weren't friends before that, but now we are. Haha.

Hmm...the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me?...hmm..open the door for me? Yeh...open the door for me when my hands were not available happy.gif
Classic Example
I got into a really big car accident. It was dark and raining. This stranger pulled up behind the car, and invited me to stay in his car while he called 911. His family was in there too. Looked like they were coming back from a trip. That's the nicest thing a stranger has done for me. smile.gif

when i was like 8 years old.. my family and i were at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans. I got lost in the crowd (i was moving along with one of the floats that were going by trying to get a coconaut and some stuffed animals lol). I was lost for about a good 10 minutes.. but i told some random man near me that i couldn't find my mom. So he lifted me up in the air and put me on his shoulders so I could see them.. and I did. So he escorted me back over to them. My family was really greatful he did that, because I couldv'e easily gotten kidnapped or raped out there. it was night time too and many people were drunk and high.

I forgot what day it was but I'm pretty sure it was one of those eve's in which you really need to buy last minute gifts and the malls are JAM PACKED.
well naturally the parking experience that day was horrible. I think I spent about thirty minutes of endless circling around the same area. And I kept passing this one grandpa(he was standing in front of his car waiting for his wife). And everytime i passed he'd smile in that sympathetic way. And so finally I was on my way to pass him again, and he was signaling me to wait but the thing was... there was another car in front of me, so the other car got the drift too and decided to wait for him. But this grandpa absolutely refused to leave, and he was telling him to go and that he wouldn't leave unless that car left. So the car left, and he gave me a OK! sign and left for me. He was such a cute nice old man smile.gif

I wanted to go to a place which I wasn't very sure of the location.

The bus driver( public transport) drove me direct to the restaurant even though it wasn't part of his loop.
But I was the only pasenger at that time.

wow that was the nicest thing.

We were taking a vacation in Hong Kong and we decided to go to Macau and we're having lunch inside a Casino. Since I'm under 18 and my dad's my only companion, this Malaysian man said that I can go with him since they're taking the elevator going to the restaurant inside the Casino coz his mom's on a wheelchair and the elders are going to enter the gambling place in the Casino. And then when we were in the ferry going to Macau, he got us the Arrival and Departure slips for Macau and Hong Kong. It was very nice of him.

one day i was in a rush to catch a train so i went to the ticket machine because there was a line at the person
but the machine didnt take my 50$ note sweatingbullets.gif
so i ran over to the ticket person line...
then a nice guy saw me in a rush and offered to swap my note for change, but he only had 49$...
and instead he gave me a 10$ note before having to run off to catch is own train blush.gif
that made my day! some people are just so nice =]
Antz
i can't remember any significant one... though sometimes, if i drop some things, some help me pick them up.

i was riding a tricycle once and it was raining hard the night before so the roads were all muddy. the tricycle was going through this really wet part of the road which srinkled mud all over my pants. i was like *gasp* and i was surprised later on when a complete stranger handed me a tissue since i didn't have any. that was really nice (:
charmainee
People always help me with public transport. >_<
I'm hopeless when I want to get somewhere by myself.
And someone even bought my ticket for me? ^___^
meow.
Lol 20c fell out of my wallet once and a guy picked it up for me.
Twas only 20c!!!!!
Haha or maybe he mistook it for like $2 or something =X
But I can't remember any other niceties -.-"
Some of these are really sweet =)

i was walking on the street and some guy started to follow me and grabs my hand, started yelling at me and was about to hit me
i didn't knew him but i think he had some mental problems
i was really scaierd and i was trying to get rid of him, we start to argue but everybody just stop and watch us but nobody did something
only one gorgeous guy stoped and yelled at the other guy and hit him and then asked me if i'm ok and walked a little w/ me to make sure that the other doesn't follow me

some other time i was in the bus and an old man start yelling at me that i stay to close to him (trust me i wasn't near him) and that i might say that hes trying to touch me or rape me (another crazy person)
this old man made me feel very bad and embarrassed so i went in the back of the bus but he kept yelling at me and some guy said to him to stop 'cause he's wrong and the others from the bus said to me to don't be upset 'cause he's old and doesn't know what he's saying

a guy from the neighbourhood kept asking me to go out w/ him but i didn't like him at all, plus he was weird and scary so i said no
once he grabed my hands and started to push me and i got scaired of him
how i said before he was a really weird guy
but my cousin saw us and told me to leave and he beat the him really bad 'cause from the next day he avoided me
my cousin is a natinal champion at karate so i'm guessing that guy didn't felt that good

i'm really greatful to all this guys especially to the first 2 'cause they weren't friends or relatives

I had a flat tire one time, and I was in the middle of nowhere and it was almost midnight, when a godsend came to my rescue. I still have his business card with me.. smile.gif

I was buying something in a store but I didn't have enough money to pay it all so a lady said she'll pay the rest for me. Even though it was only $1 or so it was meaningful since I don't know her

- i was walking to class after the late bell, and the halls were empty. i was walking towards the staircase when i saw the guy i liked walking in front of me. we had the same class so i knew he was going the same way. he opened the door and held it there for a good 10 seconds till i got there. i guess he saw me behind him xD. that made my day ><. biggrin.gif
-i was on the bus with my friend. when we were about to leave, this lady stopped me and said i dropped my phone on the seat. haha it was soo nice of her because it was my first phone ever and if i had lost it, i would have probably not gotten another one.
-this wasnt a stranger. it was my friend, but i thought it was a reallly nice thing. i was leaving her house on a rainy night. her dad drove me home. aparently when i was getting into the car, my phone dropped {same one that i almost lost on the bus}. i came home and freaked out. i called her and told her i must've dropped it in the car, she looked all over and didnt find it. She found it later by a gutter outside. it was soo nice of her to look for my phone in the gutter. she said it had water damage, but it still worked.
ROCKiT
i dropped a 20 dollar bill in school.
i didn't even notice.
but this guy ran up and gave it back. i was so happy!!

Oooh.

I was walking home from school and it was raining hard. Someone comes up to me and offers me their umbrella, haha. xD

Now that I think about it, it sounds so Kdrama. o______O But I rejected the offer. xD
