I thought "Hey There Delilah" was the most beautiful, special, UNIQUE song out there...

...until it suddenly became mainstream and it was being played by radio stations like every minute. I had no idea it was gonna be that famous!

Suddenly the song started to become less special, less unique, because everyone everywhere knew the song word for word which is fine, but it just makes the song less appealing to me.

Does anyone else feel the same way?

What are some songs that you loved before they became overplayed/mainstream? Hope there isn't a thread like this already...

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol - This was one of my favorite songs before it got overplayed.

That's the way with most of my favs, I want them to get more fans but at the same time I'm like "Damn" because they aren't my little secret anymore.

Bleeding Love. I loved that song at first, now when I hear it on the radio I have friggin Bleeding Ears.

lol, this always happen... it's so catchy and addicting at first, but slowly it's getting boring and dump because it's repeative

Most of Fergie's, Mariah Carey's and Rihanna's songs are also overplayed on the radio.
They are all nice songs but after so many times hearing it, you just get so sick of it. Like, it's not even funny anymore.

i liked it at first but it was everywhere; the malls, streets, SCHOOL~!
plus, i don't like songs that repeat one or two words so many times.

also, i used to LOVE "Tell Me" by WonderGirls, but it began to be everywhere and they kept on repeating "tell me" so many times and gave me a headache. and also, their song 'So Hot'. all of the above.

Definitely Bleeding Love....first time I heard it I liked it, but now it's annoying.

Apologize is overplayed too but I can still listen to it, it actually took almost 2 years before it became mainstream though...
