How many of us Soompiers are Sac State students?

It seems like there's so many people. So speak up! lol.

Is anyone else on waitlist for classes?

I've been waiting all summer to get into two Health Sci / Human Services classes ... aghhhhh.

I go there, it's okie, I just like how green it is and how nice everyone is, except for like the food court people.
But this is my second year and I'm pretty excited to go into the next sem. I'm actually being able to take the the classes I want this year instead of being on the waitlist that seems to never end. Only thing about the campus is that, classes are just always out of function, like the projectors, but they seem to be fixing it up since last year they added security cameras everywhere at the Union. Nothing wrong with it, just could be better, but everything in this world could be better, we just deal.
^
^
But here's my advice for you, if you don't get into the class and continue to be on the waitlist then just sit in for the class, because usually the teachers are nice enough to just let you in as long as there's seats available, so best thing to do sit in on them and you'll most likely get them, my friend was on like 4 classes for a waitlist and she got them all except for one, because people move in and out throughout the first week of school.

Beginning 3rd year here...and yet, I don't know what I'm doing in college.
Professors are really nice though. I'm on the waitlist for a drug+alcohol class, but I figure I'd drop it for the GE req. history class.
You know what's intimidating though? The crowd of viets that are always hanging out around the pool tables. It sucks when you suck at pool too, and they are there watching you, lol.

I know that much, haha! I've never had to sit in before though. For some reason it's kind of infuriating being #1 on waitlist for a while ... but hopefully being a junior will put me at an advantage if I do have to sit in. Muaahahaha.
Fixing classes are hard. I used to work at classroom services and we used to get a lot of requests for fixing .. but a lot of times the teachers don't know what they're doing either so it doesn't really work out.

^ i may have to sit in for a class too this semester in order to get 20 units, and i'm not even on the waitlist because the class closed before i was even able to register (darn junior standing). sitting in isn't the greatest because there's a chance that you may have to sit in for 2 weeks (at most until the drop deadlines) and you might not even get it and possibly lose another class.
depending on the course (whether it's GE or a major core class), juniors have pretty good standing (unless you're trying to register, then you're close to the bottom of the list depending on your units), although seniors always get first priority.
1 more week to go!
has anyone gotten their books yet? i went to the bookstore the other day to get my ISBN numbers so i can look up the books online haha. but a few of my classes are still missing the books (even though online it says they have them grrr)
the parking permit color this semester is the same as one of last year's semester, the ugly yellow. but it does have F8 on the permit hmmm...

20 units is a whole lot ... I got into my 4th class but it's not what I wanted.

So I have to sit in for my Disease Prevention class, hahaha.

Any buyers? lol.
I remember freshman year there was an article about some woman who graduated from CSUS and ended up being a porn star. I forgot what the whole point of the article was, but my young female english professor was disgusted. And I think there was another article about some other chick who is a porn star and attends CSUS...seems like this college is a breeding ground for up and cumming porn stars. Pun intended.

Apparently it's up to 250,000$ ... depending, because she's being picky. (And unfair to bidders, LOL)
What porn star?

I'm curious now. They need to list these things on the Sac State wiki page, haha! It's understandable ... I don't believe there's anything wrong with porn, but maybe Sac State students tend to be better at it? Hahahaha.

i've been through some changes in majors too.
i started wanting to do business and psychology, but psychology got boring. then i wanted to do english to become an editor, but that was too much reading. then i did a year for graphic design, and i was one class away from applying with portfolio, but i knew i wasn't going to continue so i didn't apply. throughout all of that i was still taking business courses, and now i'm graduating (hopefully!!!!) next fall. sadly i'm a year behind (i could have graduated this semester or spring 09) and i'm gonna graduate with my younger brother

but for argument sake, he's only a year younger than me and started his first semester as a second-semester freshman becuase of all the AP credits he got in HS
