Japanese and others do eat whale meat (eskimos), so I think they must also eat dolphin meat. Anyone know if japanese eat dolphins?

no. but i do understand the cultural argument they make. orientals have traditional dishes the west may find disgusting. like the korean dog soup or stew I forgot. but that's not to say koreans our age eat it (they DON'T). If whale meat really is in japanese culture I guess you can justify it. Natives really do hunt whales and seals, etc. Even make things with the bones and tie it into culture. True.

I've had dolphine meat once...I won't lie....it was good.

There's this really intense and widespread double standard when it comes to "cute" animals being eaten. You can't use "AWW POOR DOLPHINS" as a reason because then you'd have to justify eating beef and poultry. But ANYWAY, no I haven't tried it and I don't really want to try it that badly. Though I'm quite curious about it, and how expensive it is

Umm personally i don't want to eat dolphin meat because i like dophin's - went to Sea World as a little kid - umm i'll admit that i do like Whales meat - like eating and cooking it but it's differen't. . .

I won't eat them because I love them.. and seeing Hayden Penettiere trying so hard to stop their killings make me feel all the more sorry for those animals. But I can't blame anyone for eating them seriously, either for culture or even for the taste of it. And what we're not used to see being eaten will surely make us feel uncomfortable, especially seeing cute animals being eaten. But let's put it this way, people. If humans were tasty, they'll end up on each other's plates Anything to satisfy our palates, really. Sometimes I wonder if we are actually as civilised as we think we are ... lol

Not really, just a matter of preference, I usually don't eat anything sea related so I don't see why it would be different with a dolphin. As for whales I think my country actually wants to make a sanctuary for them on our coast because japanese were killing lots of them for "researching purposes" and I think they banned the hunt of whales...or are trying toXD

Sure, it might taste good. Although I will have to see how they kill it first, a lot of people kill them inhumanely and I do not stand for that.

And even then, just a bit because...apparently they contain high levels of mercury and other bad stuff...I don't know what they been eating...
