Regarding needing only Chinese-to-English translators if we join the HY subbing team: If we're formed as an English team under the HY team, we may still need drolfxil's and younha486's help too? For the technical aspects of the subbing?

Regarding Younha's diaries/staff blog/etc: Hmmm, this may be hard.. I can give a summary of her staff blog happenings or other stuff if they're in Japanese, but I may be able to afford to do so once a week. For those that have been translated into Chinese, there's supper and me right now.. but if we included the yet-to-be-completed Human Theatre and Animal Farm and other past shows that need to be subbed.... It'll be taxing. Unless we find more help? Or is it possible if we start the diary and blog translations after completing the subbing of the past shows?

Regarding Chinese-to-English translations as last choice: Of course if we get people who are willing to help to translate directly, it'll be good. But right now, we still lack them. And actually, Chinese subs/translations come out much faster than English subs/translations, perhaps even within a week of release of the raw version.. And in my opinion, the Chinese language is similar enough to both the Japanese and the Korean languages, that even if there were inaccuracies, it won't be that far off from the actual meaning.. So I believe it's still a feasible choice..

Yeah, but its always good to have more accurate subs but the main thing is to be get meaning so it doesn't matter much, i think the current subbing team is a bit small, i think we will need some more people to help with the translations, and i think the diary entries can be done in the translators own time and if im not mistaken i remember Hello Younha doing them aswell.

Now I think you got all parts of docu. Will the subs be softsubs? I think it is good if the video isn't HQ. Which it isn't.

I think softsubs for but if alot of people want it i can hardsub but i think soft subs is better as you can take the subs off at will and easier to edit and stuff and more importantly easier to upload lol.

hardsubs would be better, imo. someone might take the subs, edit it and pass it off as their own.

No its not a torrent link its a soft sub srt file use vlc player and rename the file with the same name as the video file for the sub to work.

Yes, that is the reason why many fansubbers hardsub. They feel it's essential that their credit don't disappear, even though many probably don't think much of it unless it's someone providing them regularly. It has to be subbers's choice of course. Personally I think one should just let it go. Maybe it's more important to share the love, then worring about same thing basically as the movie and record companies does. They can't control anything, and neither can we. But one can make it more certain that most people would know where the subs come from! (reputation!)

If we build a site for this subbingteam, and/or have good cooperation with HelloYounha, I doubt anyone would receive much recognition for this that isn't his/hers. Because all true fans of Younha would've found out who does the work!

i do agree with pro000, once good reputation is attained then credit will always be given to the subbing team for every "product" generated. the important thing is to create a brand for younha subs (e.g. soshified), and all subbed younha videos will be identified/associated w/ that brand once credibility is achieved. the question though is are you guys going to merge w/ the hello younha team...

I guess only Younha, and maybe her agency, really knows what her IQ is But that is what some old article said, which was interpreted early on in this thread. I have no idea what the date is for the mag pics, but this was posted as you can see in mid of 2007. I would take a guess it's not much earlier, that is some time after her debut and success in Korea.

I tried to get some vids from younhalove since someone shared a lot, and some HQ vids which I missed. And which we might have use for also sometime. BUT, my unstable connection and the often slow dl speed from the site they upload to makes it hard.

We're translating Human theater currently.

And news about human theater part 1 nearly all of it is done just like 5 lines need translated and its done, im currently ill atm x.x so i havent got around finishing it.

SUPPER, i will definitely watch nichiyoubi... but i'm afraid only to support the movie. my nihongo is rather weak so i don't expect to get a lot from the film... so a film review from me will be virtually impossible unfortunately. i will think of some other ways to share the film experience w/ us guys... i was actually thinking of joinin the TOKYO FM contest for the movie premiere. i might get to see younha in person there... that would be awesome right?! but i have to hound my japanese floormate so she can help me w/ the mechanics for the contest. i will let u all know...
