Movie/Book Synopsis
It's been three weeks, 2 days, and 23 hours since Tris broke up with Nick. And now here she is at his gig, with a new guy. How could she have moved on so fast??? Nick, in a desperate attempt to show her he's moved on too, turns to the girl next to him and asks her to be his 5 minute girlfriend. This begins the night of Nick, Norah and manhattan. The night of stripping nuns, hotel ice rooms, russian food, psychotically jewish ex boyfriends and lovingly trashy ex girlfriends. It's the night of Julio and Salvatore. The night of holding hands and writing songs and singing in the rain. It's a night they'll never forget.

-i for one thought nick was played beautifully by michael cera, he was all you'd want in a love. He was funny, witty, smart, ah...and much, much more.

i really love the book so they better do justice ^__^

i actually saw the movie, the screening anyways, which was why i chose to post up thread for it. the movie was amazing, it wasn't "COMPLETE", because it was a screening, but from what i saw, ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! and as complete as complete can be. it's great, if you loved the book, you'd love the movie, i mean it didn't follow exactly with the book, but it stayed true to it, if that makes any sense. LOVE IT!

MICHAEL CERA...if u didn't love him before, you will definitely love him here.

instead of nick asking norah to be his five minute girlfriend, it's the other way around.

it was funny, witty, smart and the music..my god the music rocked!
everything you'd hope for and more in an indie film.
love it, i heard the movie may be coming out in november, official date anyways, but i'm not sure..man i was sure lucky, right place right time, if not i'd have to wait and watch the actual movie release like everyone else, but i'd definitely go see it again with pay.

jonathan b. wright is the biggest reason i'm going to see this(ya broadway!). i haven't read the book yet, but the story sounds interesting.

I absolutely LOVED this book. Norah is exactly how I pictured her to look like. For some reason I pictured Nick as a brunette but I know Michael Cera will do him justice.

I am dying to see this movie, mainly because the leading man is Michael Cera, who I've completely fallen in love with after two weeks of Arrested Development. I'm really looking forward to seeing him portray a character who isn't sweet and awkward for once. Not to say that he isn't awesome at acting like a cutiepie but it'll be refreshing to see him do something different.
Aaand I haven't seen any of the movies Kat Dennings has been in so I don't know about her.

According to news.com.au, the Australian cinema release is 22 January next year. Whoa, six months. TT_______TT

i've seen the movie, and sorry to burst your bubble, the guy's as sweet and awkward as they come..but there seems to be more personality (not to say he didn't have one before), and a backbone...sorta...but i agree..who couldn't fall for him after seeing his george michael?! if u loved him before, you'll love him even more in this.

maybe it was just a coincident but do movies in Australia tend to premiere weeks, or months even, after the american release date?

well all i know is that whoever see it, if they don't love it, they have no sense of humor nor a working a heart...

I saw this preview and I really wanna see this movie lol

Just from watching the trailer I can tell that I will love this!! Michael Cera was soo great in everything I have seen him in and this character - the sensitive musician seems like the perfect role for him. I think the part where that guy (I think he is from SNL???? ) tries to climb into the back of his car thinking it's a cab is hysterical

they changed a lot of the plot in the movie i can already tell
but im going to consider the movie and book to be completely differrent and try as hard as i can not to compare
i love the book so much but the movie seems okay too

i just think the movie will bring a different feel than the book really did.

I watched the movie earlier today, it wasn't bad. It reminded of a lot of John Hughes films from the eighties (Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, etc.,). Caroline (Ari Graynor) was a hoot and a very strange character.

The movie seemed almost too short, the 90 minutes just flew by. The soundtrack wasn't too bad either.

It was cuteeee, it had its moments. But the main thing on my mind is the soundtrack. We are Scientist & Vampire Weekend....uhh love!

Kat + Michael fit their roles SOOOOO well, he was such a sweetheart and I loved her. Caroline.. LOL. I loved her character. (DEV WAS LAKSJDAISDU HOT)
Even though they changed the plot up a bit, I'm SOOOOOOO THANKFUL they kept some of the things from the book. More specifically Salvatore and Thom's 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' analogy. OH! and the lyrics of the song Nick wrote on his mix that Norah liked.

:D I wanna watch it again ~

I just found out that Aaron Yoo is in the movie, and frankly, he is the only reason why I am going to see it on Monday.

LOL, I love Michael Cera. He made me laugh in Juno : ) Aaron Yoo is gonna be in it, so yes, I'm excited. I hate his hair though, I liked it better in 21. I really want to watch this movie.

AHHHH this was adorable Nick and Norah are so cute together! That one scene near the end where they go to the recording studio...it was kinda awkward. My friends and I looked at eachother and we just started laughing. I think Caroline was my favorite part of the movie, especially where she was drunk in the car and everyone crowded around, trying to ask her to unlock it

Oh and the guys in Nick's band are pretty cute...I was sad to find out they're all gay in the movie T_T
