Well, me and a couple of my friends decided to start a band, we have one song recorded but its only a rough.

Currently the band consists of :

Ryan(Me) :Bassist [suckish beginner]

Patrick : Drummer [a beast]

Marco : Guitarist [a beast]

Edwin : Guitarist [a beast]

Jalen : Pianist/ Saxophonist [a beast]

Well we started practicing like at the beginning of summer so, helpful criticism would be much appreciated.

Our band's name is called Just Before Impact

kind of a Rock/Alternative/Jazz band xD

not bad for a start. i give u props for being able to start one in the first place. i'm a bassist too nd i suck so badly hahaha. yeah i ended up dating my guitarist at one period and then my drummer a couple of months later so the whole band thing went down the hole lol.

It was decent for a start. I would label you as Rock rather than alternative or jazz. However, there's no flow in your instrumental. Save the guitar solo for last. I just feel that it lacked build up so the effect of the solo wasn't there for me. It's not my song, so you can do as you wish if you find that your instrumental sounds better that way, but if I were in your guitarist I would've done Intro Riff much longer, bring in the last riff as the chorus, the light jam before the solo would be the bridge and solo jumps in, then bring back the main riff to end it off.

Your band performance was fine. Nice work. Maybe experiment with tone and distortion settings on the guitarist. This guitar sounds like it needs a Phaser or Wah Wah effect

Ah, I do agree with I.♥YOU. ^^ You guys do have a nice beat, and I am curious as to who is going to sing for you guys~.

Anyways, I'm impressed (since I can't play anything for the life of me) with your music so far. XD

it seems you guys are off to a great start.

It's a good start~ Once you guys have vocals it will be better and as time goes on you guys will learn how to smooth out the sound more. Props on starting the band~ It's not as easy as it sounds ^^
