A Family plan with four lines and unlimited text messaging= $80
we get i think 700 minutes for the entire family, but we rarely talk on the phone so we're good.
my sister and i text like crazy. like combined together, it'll go over 10,000 texts.
so really, our family dont need that many minutes.
i get decent reception. my happiness rating? around 7 or 8.

I have Sprint and I love it dearly. So does my sister and everyone on her plan.
My plan is $30/month. Includes:
500 minutes
unlimited texting
unlimited picture mail
unlimited web (comes with TV, radio, blah blah)
Love it to bits!
My sister has a plan for $99.99 and then $30 for the additional 3 phones. So she supports 5 phones on her lines for $130/month. This is before her 23% discount kicks in too. It's awesome!
They all have:
-1500 minutes to share
-unlimited text
-unlimited picture
-unlimited web
I say we're quite lucky.

I'm working full-time now, so I downgraded my plan:
T-Mobile ~$40/month
-29.99: 300 anytime + unlimited wknds
-4.99: 400 messages
I used to pay ~$55/month for 600 anytime + unlimited nights and wknds, 400 messages, and internet when I was in college.
I used to love T-Mobile... now I'm indifferent. They just happened to have great service on my college campus, even in basements. And the reception is generally good everywhere, I don't have any complaints about dropped calls or whatnot. But their customer service is now TERRIBLE; I'll be on the phone for 30min and I won't get any answers, and half the time I'll get hung up on. The reps in the T-Mobile stores are really hit-or-miss too, I'm lucky I found one who actually knows what he's doing. The only reason I'm still with them is b'cuz I hate them less than Verizon or Alltel.

I have T-Mobile Individual Plan with MyFaves.
I pay about $45 a month for 300 whenever minutes, unlimited nights and weekends (starting at 9pm), 300 text messaging, and the phone (retails for $350) was free. Happiness factor: 8.5, pretty satisfied.

i pay around $40-45 for unlimited txt, 100 anytime mins, free incoming and..i forget one more thing...;;
scale from 1 to 10, i'd say 7/10...
i don't have voice mail, not enough minutes, and i'm only paying around there because i got a friend who works in Fido to hook me up with a secret plan ;;
ya...i'm in Canada

I pay $60 for unlimited messaging and 450 minutes with 5000 weekend and nights and rollover minutes.
1-10 I'd say 8/10 only 8 bc sometimes I don't get my picture messages and for some reason it won't let me send pictures sometimes.

I have AT&T and I'm on the pay as you go plan. I bought my Samsung Impression seperately for likeee $400 cuz I didn't wanna get a 2-year contract. I think I'll end up saving money like this if I don't go overboard with my phone.
I pay $20 each month for unlimited text, and I pay $.25 a minute for calls. I text WAYY more than I call, so it's a pretty good deal for me. The trouble comes in when I call way too much and it eats up my money lol :<
On average I spend abouttt uhm I'd say $30-$40 a month, which includes unlimited text and $.25/min calls
I'm fairly pleased with the price but it can be better :\

My cellphone provider is Koodo (technically it's Telus since Koodo is under it)
I pay $25 a month for unlimited texting and 100 day time minutes, but it's free after 7 and weekends. I text more anyways.
Erm this is my first phone so I'm happy with it...maybe 8.5-9/10

Jul 11 2009, 07:05 AM
^^I'm on Koodo too
I have 300 daytme minutes, free eveings and weekends after 5 pm, unlimited international text
Oh and call display too
So I think it's about $45 with taxes, and it's great cause there are no system access fees
I'm pretty happy with them so I'd say about an 9
I just wish they had better phones
But other than that it's great

Sprint family plan
3 lines
550 minutes
free minutes at 7pm. free weekends
60$/month
line1-free
line2-free
[me]
line3(10$/month for "activation") - 15$ unlimited texting
Adds up to 85$/month + "sprint surcharges" (7$) <-lame
So it adds up to 92$
THEN we get some weird discount so it's 83$/month (:
It's ok. It's not the best in the world but I can live with it.

$20 a month
unlimited incoming
250 min weekdays
unlimited weeknights after 6 / weekends
250 txt msg
voicemail
caller id
its pretty good : ) my mom got it for me LOL
i want rogers to rogers tho =\=\
are you sure? I phoned Rogers and they said $25/mo was their cheapest. Add in the system access fee and that's at least $32/mo. Add in voicemail and caller id and you have my plan which is about $50/mo after taxes. So I have no idea how you are getting $20/mo incl taxes, voice mail, caller id, early evenings and system access fee.

Verizon with 700 minutes for $60 and unlimited texting for $20. Wow, I had no idea it was $60 until you posted it here =X my dad pays for the phone bills...
I'm pretty satisfied with it; I'd give it an 8 or 9 on the happiness scale. I have the #1 phone for 2008, so it's more like the phone rather than the plan that satisfies me XD. The only complaint I have is that the browser sucks, and it's a touch screen phone, so it's sometimes hard to text.

T-Mobile. My parents pay about $90 for my plan. 1000 minutes, unlimited nights and weekends, mobile to mobile, and on top of that, because I used to have a Sidekick when I got this plan, I had the Sidekick Data Plan (unlimited text messages, email, and internet usage.)
Now I have a Samsung 707SC II. I didn't bother changing my plan though because I need the minutes and unlimited texts, since that's pretty much all my phone can do now XD
I'm extremely happy, mostly because I have an awesome Japanese phone and not a wack Sidekick.

I'm with Canada's Fido.
$25/month
100 Minutes
Free Weeknights after 7/weekends
Unlimited Txt
Free Receiving Txt.
No System Access Fee.
And I believe free incoming calls.
I'm alright with my plan ;D nothing wrong since I don't call that much. and with including tax and everything, it only ends up around $29/month. I just wished there was called id, Which i don't have cause its $6-7 extra which i should add in soon!

I live in taiwan and i pay roughly $10USD a month for 30 anytime minutes.... and thats it ): at least such cheap plans exist here, coz i dont even need 30 minutes a month and i dont text either. In taiwan you can get phone plans that are 68nt a month, which is around 2 dollars USD. No additional taxes, activation fees, service charges, etc. its all included.

My provider is Bell, and I pay $17.25 per month for voicemail, 3-way calls, unlimited calls on weekdays after 6pm and on weekends, and some other stuff. Also got a Samsung M530 with it, and I'm very happy with it. Only concern for me is, I get charged for incoming and outgoing texts; mobile browsing too. It's not a big deal though, since I don't use those often.

i got by my dad's verizons family plan.about $100 for 3 lines...500mins per month. we never go over. but no text included which i rather.
i like verizon's reception and stuff. when i go to an area where theres little reception like a subway station. most ppl cant call but i can its kinda weird ppl look at me lmaoo
but one thing i dunt like are verizon phones and the fact that they are LOCKED i cannot put music..nor ringtones..wuld have to get from their STUPID store which i have no interest.
planning to switch to tmobile's or at&t's cheapest plan and to get better phones. and i dunt rly use my phone dunt like having conversations over phone....just for looks haha

any advice though? i wonder if i shuld get the pay as u go plans? ^bc i dunt rly call anyone cept my parents lol
i chat w/ my friends online usually

currently t-mobile: $95/month including taxes with 700 mins, 4 lines, no text. happiness level 7/10
next month at&t: $130/month excluding taxes with 700 mins, 4 lines, text + data plan for 2 lines
even though t-mobile is the cheapest, you really get what you pay for because the coverage is kinda bad. my calls drop all the time and i frequently have only 1 bar or less. i was thinking of switching over to verizon since they have the best coverage, but their phone choices are so limited... so yeah, hopefully at&t will be good.
*edit*
at&t: $113/month including taxes with 700 mins, 4 lines, text for 2 lines, data for mine happiness level 8/10
the one thing i don't like about at&t is that they charge in advance. i'm used to paying for what i used, not for what i'm gonna maybe use. recently got directv and they do the same thing. i'm wondering if this is a new thing for everybody or if only a select few does it.

Provider: Rogers in Canada
Final bill comes to around $56 for:
- 1000 nights and ends minutes
- 150 daytime mins
- unlimited calling to rogers home phone, wireless, and fido
- unlimited incoming calls
- my5 nationwide
- name caller ID, whocalled, enhanced voicemail, 125 sent text messages
I am relatively happy. My plan is old and you won't find plans anymore with both unlimited network calling and unlimited incoming, but text messages are so overpriced.

I have AT&T:
450 daytime minutes
5000 nights/weekends
unlimited mobile to mobile
rollover minutes
no data or text at this time
after taxes bill usually comes to $48
7/10 or so satisfied only cause sometimes my calls drop or I can't call out of certain areas around town.
Never felt the need for texts but since I got my eternity and I have that visual qwerty which makes texting so much easier I want to add a text plan.

AT&TFamily Plan (consists of 2 Blackberries w/ no data, a Samsung Blackjack w/ no data, and a reg. basic phone)
2100 minutes + rollover (can equal to about 4000-6000 minutes total per month, depends)
Free weekends, free night calls (starting at 9pm)
unlimited texting $30 for all our phones
TOTAL = ranges from $180-300
Satisfied? Not really LOL. SO EXPENSIVE mini cooper ): And call quality is 5/10 on bad days, 8/10 on the good days. I'd rather switch over to Verizon. BUT THEN AGAIN...Verizon is even more expensive, and their phone interfaces are ugly (black and red? not my cup of tea, thanks). So really, I like my AT&T provider. I give it a 8.5/10

Um, I'm on the T-mobile family plan with my family right now for about 120 a month. We have 700 minutes and unlimited text messaging; 4 people on the line total. However, I'm going to switch to AT&T next week and gonna join a family plan with my boyfriend. We're both going to get the iPhone 3gs with the unlimited data plan and unlimited text, so we're gonna be paying about 170$ a month for just the two of us. Talk about a huge jump in price. = / Oh well, it's worth it since we'll both get to be online 24/7.
