Bloody Monday is based on a manga with the same name, first serialized in Weekly Shōnen Magazine. It was authored by Ryuumon Ryou. The drama will be similar to US' 24

Plot:
“In the story, Fujimaru Takagi, a high school sophomore and genius white-hat hacker, tries to clear his father’s name by tracking down the “Bloody Monday” terrorist conspiracy. The key is a mysterious woman named Maya who is linked with a deadly Russian weapons-grade virus.”

Miura Haruma as Fujimaru Takagi
A 2nd year high school student and a member of the Newspaper Club. Unknown to everyone (but his father, the PSIA, and Otoya), he is also Falcon, a hacker prodigy who hacks into corrupt people's computers and brings their crimes to light.


Sato Takeru as Otoya Kujou
A 3rd year and the President of the Newspaper Club. He is Fujimaru's childhood friend

Kichise Michiko as Maya
She purchased a virus in Russia. She is currently undercover as Maya Orihara, a biology teacher in Mishiro Academy High School. Antagonist.

I've read a bit of the manga, it was pretty good. I'm sure the show will be less gruesome but I am curious to know what happens next (from where I left off in the manga). Thanks for the info; I am anticipating this show lots.

nice! Miura Haruma was the only kid in Gokusen 3 whose acting didnt make me cringe. Ive tried looking into the manga but not really my genre. still, will look forward to this one.

The plot line is very interesting and the cast is cute. I'm looking forward to this. Sato Takeru was great in ROOKIES and even though I haven't seen Gokusen 3, Miura Haruma is also a great actor.

Actor Hiroki Narimiya has been added to the cast of the TBS drama series "Bloody Monday," based on a suspense manga by Ryo Ryumon. The show stars Haruma Miura as a hacker fighting a terrorist organization, and Narimiya will be playing the head of the terrorists.

Narimiya has also been cast in the Fuji TV drama series "Innocent Love," which stars Maki Horikita. In contrast to his role in "Bloody Monday," he portrays a naive man who is unable to open up his heart to the one he loves.

"Bloody Monday" will air Sunday nights, starting on October 11. "Innocent Love" will be broadcast on Monday nights.


So I'm guessing he's going to play the bad guy in this drama. Definitely looking forward to it.

New band flumpool does "Bloody Monday" music

TBS has chosen a fairly unknown band to provide the theme song for its upcoming Saturday night drama series, "Bloody Monday." The four-man Osaka-based group flumpool will be lending their 2nd digital single, titled "Over the rain ~Hikari no Hashi~."

flumpool made their major label debut with "Hana ni Nare," being used in a commercial for LISMO. That song is being released as a digital single on October 1. "Over the rain" will follow on November 5.

"Bloody Monday," which stars Haruma Miura as a hacker fighting terrorists, premieres on October 11.

Haruma and Takeru???!!! O_____O They're seriously two of my favorite Japanese boys right now and they're starring together??! That's fantastic!! They're both really talented... and obviously, they're both extremely hot [and illegal T__T]. I'm definitely watching this one!

when the subs come out you guys should watch, Bloody Monday is really good drama so far for the pilot episode was really good. Its really suspense drama you really hold on to your seat, Miura Haruma is just a great actor this role is really good for him im glad he got this role and its a lead one too ^^

I saw the 2 hours special of Bloody Monday last Saturday~ and omg this is such a good drama, one of the best suspense drama I've seen. I hope the rest of the drama will be as good as the first episode. Miura Haruma is a really good actor... I'm glad that he got casted for this role. I think the budget for this drama must be high because it feels like you're watching a movie, rather than a drama. I'm really looking forward to the next episode.

Ep 2 was awesome! Bloody Monday has officially become one of my all time favorite drama. But I don't understand why the rating for it is so low... I guess cuz it's aired on a Saturday night where most people in Japan are out and about.

The plot seems awesome. Miruma and Takeru are such hotties. Haha.
