Bold and heroic, this series will become a wuxia classic on Jade channel. Toward the end of Northern Song dynasty, the outlaws are amok and citizens lived in a difficult state. Master Chu Kot (Dominic Lam) who was assigned to the justice department hopes to re-establish the law and order in the country. However, evil minister Choi Ging (Lau Kong) is in power and repressed Master Chu Kot for many years, unable to carry out his ideals. Afterward Master Chu Kot solved a serial killing case and manage to impress Emperor Qinzong who consent him in taking charge of the justice department. Under Master Chu Kot diligent effort, the justice department gathered a lot of talents. Among them Lang Huet (Ron Ng as Cold Blooded), Tit Sau (Kenneth Ma as Iron Hand), Zhui Ming (Sammul Chan as Life Snatcher) and Mou Qing (Raymond Lam as Emotionless Cripple) combined as the Four Great Constable. They are strict and impartial, seeking justice on behalf of the citizens and even discovered the secret plot of evil minister Choi Ging planning to usurp the throne! After it Your Class or Mine is finish airing, "The Four" will be airing September 22, 2008 till October 24, 2008 taking the 20:30 slot

Out of curiosity what is a tvb drama? Is it taiwanese?

I remember reading an article that talked about the drama. Since back in ancient times, the wheelchair was made out of wood and Raymond's character will be sitting on it alot. The first few days when he sat on it he said it hurt his bum so later on while filming he or somebody on the filming crew put a pillow underneath it to make it more comfortable haha.

Ron's character is said to grew up in the forest/wood with a wolf pack so that is why he looks different from the others. Sammul character will be joking around alot that's what I read.



TVB drama is Hong Kong dramas. The different between HK and Taiwan drama is that Hong Kong drama is only 30 minutes per episode while Taiwan drama last from 45 minutes up to an hour. Hong Kong dramas speak cantonese while Taiwan is either Mandarin or Taiwanese

lol! been waiting for this one ever since i hear about it. there's some major eye-candy in there, although. i have to say, Ron Ng looks kinda ugly on the poster xD. Kate Tsui looks so pretty in costume, lol

btw, hong kong dramas are typically about 45 minutes, not half an hour as the poster stated above. sitcoms on the other hand (ie. Best Selling Secrets) are about 20 minutes.

ah I got confused with the viet dubbed one lately I been confusing all my numbers due to math >.< but the viet dubbed are usually 25 minutes to 30 for each episode.



Actually Kate is going to be paired up with Raymond and Selena will be paired up with Kenneth or Sammul They didn't mention Ron much at all.

haha yeah Kate Tsui has been in alot of dramas. This drama was film in 2007 so that was the year where they usually expose alot of newbies trying to promote them, etc. But I have to say her acting skills has improve wayyy than she first started off. Hopefully her role won't be disappointing,
Seeing Ray with a new costar is actually fresh I was sorta getting sick that he's paired up with the same person for more than one drama especially Linda, I'm not a fan of hers I read that Tavia was offer a role in this drama too but she wanted to concentrate on her other ancient drama "Sweetness in the Salt" with Steven Ma that's why she didn't participate in this drama

Anyways the themesong will be sung by the four guys Raymond Lam, Ron Ng, Sammul Chan and Kenneth Ma. As for the subtheme they are saying that it could be instrumental or it could be replaying the themesong or it could be Raymond singing but not sure.

The title of the song is called " Fung Bo (风暴)" meaning Storm

lol, i agree with Fala! i also wanna see more of Nancy Wu. has she acted in any of TVB's ancient series outside of "Twin of Brothers"? as much as i love Raymond, she was the best character in there.

anyways, first ep was pretty interesting.. haha, Samuel's character's so funny xD. his moustache has got to go though, it makes him look kinda pervy, LOL!

OMgosh i just saw the first ep! (Since it came out 2day) It was AWESOME.. i really liked it O_O . Even tho Ron Ng is still not out yet but yeah cant wait for the 2nd ep!!!

yeahh I didnt like Kate Tsiu at first, I thoguht she wasnt that good in Moonlight Resonance but yeah I think she improved a little -shrug-.. im kinda starting to like her. She not that bad though i dont think she really that prettyy either but decent -thumbs up-

I caught the 1st episode.. and it was pretty good for a start.
Ray's the arrogant one huh? And he plays it out pretty well.. no harm seeing him on a wheelchair, because his expressions alone can kill. He's just so good.

Sammul's pretty entertaining...and Kenneth, he's not too bad either, I think I'm gonna like him with Selena in here. She's just so bratty and she's pretty good at it..

Summary:
Cold, witty and intelligent, Wu Qing (Emotionless Cripple by Raymond Lam) was crippled since young age. Fortunately Marquis Chu Kot (Dominic Lam) fostered and taught him the knowledge of secret weapons. They were formally given the title of The Four Great Constable.

Under Chu Kot’s leadership, the Divine Constable department managed to solve a lot of cases. After going through obstacles and hardships, Mou Qing slowly learns to let go of his arrogance and how to get along with others. He even started to have feelings for physician Sung Zhi Yan (Kate Tsui). However, Zhi Yan took this opportunity to break up the team. She purposely deepened the misunderstanding between Mou Qing and Tit Sau. In addition, Chu Kot found himself entrapped dangerous position while attempting to reveal the rebellion plot of Wong Chiu Cheong (Savio Tsang) and Choi Ging (Lau Kong) resulting the department and the four constables on the verge of destruction.

I just caught the first 3 episodes .. Interesting ..
I think Raymond should have gotten a fat bum after sitting on the wheelchair for the entire filming .. he's character is smart and witty .. Really glad to see Sammul again cos he's one of the better actors in there but it's a pity he's no longer signed to tvb (no contract = lesser opportunities).. I like how they put the up and coming guys in one show but it's Kate as lead again .. sigh .. I thought Selena Li's character was cute and it's obvious which guy she would end up with unless there's another love-line for her in the middle ..

Haha yeah when the first started to film this drama, Ray's bum hurted the first time since the wheelchair was made out of wood so he decided to add himself a cushion so of course his bum will be fat haha but cute! Ahhh I'm the same with you. I really miss Sammul working with TVB jus that they jus mistreat him an give him not so good character which I really dislike but I'm glad he took this role since it really suite him and he brings out the laughter As for Kate she's coming out Episode 4 so we'll see how she does but from what I seen so far I like her outfits though haha and Selena character is good jus too stubborn when she keeps on attackin Kenneth. I think this is her 2nd time being paired with Kenneth after The Master Tai Chi

Ron will be appearing in episode 3 and so on as an assassin He will join the other 3 guys as constables in episode 5 So far my favorite character in order is:
-Sammul (Zhui Ming)
-Raymond (Mo Ching)
-Ron (Lang Huet)
-Kenneth (Tie Shou)

My favorite scenes from episode 1-3 gotta be when Mo Ching (Raymond) and Zhui Ming (Sammul) argues all the time. Its soo funny when Mo Ching pick on Zhui Ming mistake, talks sarcastically toward him, tease him and stuff Zhui Ming turns around and make faces at Mo Ching all the time but the best scene was in episode 2 where Mo Ching was looking for clues and Zhui Ming was behind him talking nonstop when sudden Mo Ching threw out a small dagger pass Zhui Ming to shut him up I swear that expression of Zhui Ming is priceless!!!

^ Yeah, I love it too when Mo Qing and Zhui Ming argues. Their scenes are so adorable.
I agree that Sammul's really fit for Zhui Ming. Too bad TVB under-promoted him when he was still with them.. he's such an underrated actor, who really can pull off different kind of roles. IMO, he's just as good as Ray when it comes to acting.. (and to me Ray's just sooooo good! )

I've seen Ep 3.. and I'm really liking how things are turning out for the 4 guys. It's kinda interesting to see how all 4 of them, with seemingly different characters, can come together to fight for justice and the better good. Mo Qing - clever and arrogant. Zhui Ming - witty and interesting. Tit Sao - naive but righteous. Lang Huet, aloof and reclusive. Getting together seems like an uphill task, but I'm sure they'll learn to accept each other soon. ^^

And so far, I'm pretty satisfied with the pairings. Tit Sau and Selena Li's character have somewhat good chemistry, and they look cute together. Meanwhile Kate looks really pretty in the preview of Ep 4, and this coming from me who used to dislike her in the past. I hope her chemistry with Ray will work..

Why did she won it in the first place? I watched her in the mute/deaf girl series and she sucked!
And how did she won the miss hk anyway? Couldn't they picked someone prettier or was she the prettiest out of the bunch? If she is then damn, miss HK standerds really sank low... (sry kate fans)


Nancy was also in Triumph Into The Skies, that's the only series I remember she was in other then TOB.

^I didn't really like Kate too but I have to admit tvb dolled her up for this role
and she started out pretty late right? i think she's the same age as raymond, ron, myolie and bernice ..
She looks really pretty this time round. (I haven't got over how horrible her role in MR was though~)

Sammul's enjoying a lot of screen time for the first 4 episodes .. I too found his bickering with Raymond really funny.. And I think Raymond's portrayal of serious characters is his specialty .. The only time I thought he was funny and cute in a lighter series was as Lok Bin in Survivor's Law (MR's Guen Kar Zai doesn't count ... again .. haha)

and finally, the last moment of episode 4 set me laughing like mad .. maybe it's just me
when Ron appeared, his hair was flowing with the wind like he's filming some mtv (that hair just remind me of his twin of brothers' hair)
and Sammul dropped the apple in his mouth like he saw some beauty walking past .. :D

Yeap. Kate looks really pretty.. I really love her green outfit. It really accentuates her feminine beauty from head to toe. From what I've seen so far in Ep 4, I think she's pretty convincing. WAY better than when she started acting. I already sense chemistry brewing between her character and Mo Qing.. so looking forward to see how Mo Qing will open up his heart.

And kudos to Sammul again. He really made the series so much more amusing and entertaining for me. I just love his cute and happy go lucky antics.. all he does is just have fun!

LOLz at Ron's appearance at the end of Ep 4.. it somehow reminded me of Fung Wan..

Seems like Kenneth is the 2nd male lead in this drama, but I will prefer more screen time for Samual or Ron~~ I love watching Ray/Sam or Ray/Ron!
