Instead of reading some miserable topics that were being thrown out, I decided to start up a simple non-mind boggling question. So, since birth, how many times have you moved til now?

Five times and all at the age of 8 and below. I really don't want to move anymore. I've grown accustomed to the place I live at now, despite seeing my childhood memories vanishing with every new replaced reconstruction.

just once so far when i was two. but next week im moving away to college. XD

age 2 - moved from a small apt to a house
age 20 - moved from house to my own apt

i've only had 1 major move. but now that i'm nearing the end of college...i'm ready to globe trot. xD
i wanna go live all over the world and experience new cultures before i settle down.
so my question is, where to next? new york? italy? korea? hawaii? austrailia?

Around 15-20 times. I've actually lost count. Family has been renting and been kicked out countless times.
But I've lived in the same house for two years now, a record!

Since birth... hmmm... maybe 2-3 times... don't remember much
when I went to college, I moved to other province so I stayed at the boarding house... I moved from one boarding house to another 3 times till now... Maybe next year I will moved again coz I'm gonna continue my study

i think it's 4 times... most of them were not the best memories of my life

with my family we've moved about 3-4 times and on my own i have moved 3-4 times as well
i'm not buying anymore heavy furniture, i'll just go to ikea

Almost 40 times since birth. Frankly I hate moving. I have to move again next month.

^ Around the same. 40 times or more, who knows. It was really easy to move around within New York City in various sub-letted co-ops, so most of the moves happened there. Sorry that you have to move again, I know it can be tough - hope you find a nice place to settle down soon.

I've moved a total of 2 times with family. And soon to be 3.

Technically none. I've been living in the same house my entire life. I lived in a dorm my freshman year of college but I don't really consider that moving out.
I'll be moving to Japan next week so that will be my first time moving.

I move like once every three years, we never settle down long enough to let the dust settle in.

1 time.... if possible, i rather dont move... its such a big project!!!

My family and I have moved quite a few times, out of my whole 20 years I can recall moving at least 6-7 times

way too many times. if i can recall correctly... 10 times in 20 years. i'm probably missing one or two moves.

and then next week i'm moving again. i think i should start living in my boxes.

Housemate is the reason most of times I move out. I wish I had my own property.

2. Countryside to college --> do these count?
3. College to back home (countryside) --> do these count?
4. Home to my new house with my husband!

About 12 times with 5 of them being out of state or out of country.

6 Times. 2 during childhood and 4 times during college in a span of the last 3 years. I know I'm gonna move a couple more times in the future (especially when I go to grad school).

my family moved twice, once when i was 8 and then we moved again when i was 16

From country to country: 6 times
Rome, Italy -> Riyadh, Saudi Arabia -> back to Italy -> Montreal -> back to Italy -> Toronto (where I live now)

Since settling in Canada: 5 times (maybe 6 if you count moving temporarily)

Whoa...since birth huh...

Different condos in Tor: 3 times

Conclusion: I hate moving...

So, 16 soon to be 17. It's awful and wonderful all at the same time.

i ALMOST moved to Torrance last year so i can be closer to work, but i just commute every day from Oxnard. haha

if counting since birth, i think i've moved... 8 or 9 times, including immigration to the US.

at the age of 16 moved completely out of home.
currently, i wouldn't really call it moving since i travel back and forth

Moved once when I was a year old, I didn't remember that obviously...

Since I met my fiance, a little over a two years ago, I have moved...5 times. Not far from eachother though, a 40 mile radius. I moved in with friends in a house they rented, but they got evicted (my name wasnt on the lease thank GOD!) so my fiance and I moved into his mom's apartment she wasn't using anymore since her house was done with the renovations. After that lease expired I moved into his moms house for a brief period of time, then I lost my job and moved back with my parents. Hated only being able to see my fiance (at that time boyfriend) 2 days a week, so we rented an apartment together. that lease is going to expire soon...so...in october it will be my 7th move.

It's crazy consider 19 years of my life I only moved once, and in a 2 year span I will be moving 6 times....gah...I discovered that I HATE moving. The process of moving, at least. I like new places to call home though!
