I couldn't find a drama recommendation thread but if there is one already, please delete this.

I can't seem to find any good dramas lately so recommendations? :] I'm currently watching 'Hot Shot' starring Wuzun, Jerry Yan and Show Luo. The show's good for drooling over hot guys. Seriously, after MG & HanaKimi, Jerry and Wuzun have become hot favorites and the two together in one serious, jaw dropping goodness. I've never seen Show Luo before... wait, I've seen him in 'Corner w/Love' but I got bored cuz I don't like Da S alot... anyway, he's simply adorable in HS. Must see :] Anyway, get on with the recommendations!

There has been some threads before...at least for Japanese ones but here are some recommendations unless you've seen them already....

The funniest Japanese drama is Nodame Cantabile...its hilarious, really cute, great acting, and just totally worth watching!

It Started with a Kiss is my favorite Taiwanese drama EVER...I'm sure you've seen it already...if you haven't...watch it!

Nobuta Wo Produce was pretty funny too...I LOVED Yamapi in it...he was hilarious!

You could try Romance in the Rain. Kinda old, but I'm sure you'll like it.

trinity1418 lol, i've never heard of 'Nodame Cantabile' before. i'll have to look it up. who starrs in it, btw? but wow, iswk.. hmm, i never finished watching it because i'm kinda biased against ariel lin. i first saw her in that fairy whatever drama with Hu Ge and honestly, she wasn't that good. but yeah... no offence if you're her fan or anything. ohmygod! YAMAPI WAS SO ADORABLE! i'll have to go watch it again just because of him :]

hungrycollegeboy that is definitely one of my favorites. 'Romance in the Rain' is classic... you are referring to the one starring Ruby Lin and Vicki Zhao, right? but yeah, i absolutely loved that one. i just rewatched the whole series again not too long ago.

Well, if the Hana-Kimi you were talking about is the Taiwanese version, then I seriously suggest checking out the Japanese one - it was the first j-drama I ever watched and I'm yet to find one to top it. It's seriously hilarious and it manages to balance the humour with the drama and the romance really well plus the actors are all fantastic, particularly Ikuta Toma as an extremely endearing Nakatsu and Horikita Maki as Mizuki.

If you haven't looked it up already...Nodame Cantabile stars Tamaki Hiroshi and Ueno Juri...

Tamaki Hiroshi is like the most handsome Japanese man...he's so good looking! He has great chemistry with the female lead...

Ueno Juri...there is no one...no one else who could have played her character...she was PERFECT in her role...freakin hilarious and cute!

The drama is very anime like...I LOVED it...and got my younger bro hooked on it...he probably likes it more than me...haha...


Oh and I am a huge Ariel Lin fan...lol...you didn't like Fairy From Wonderland? I thought she was super cute in it!!! It would have been better if they didn't dub her voice...oh and they could have done without all the sub-plots with the other characters too...ugh...

You should finish watching ISWAK one day...its so funny and sweet...especially towards the end....I LOVE all the kissing scenes!!!


Like someone else mentioned...the Japanese Hana Kimi is pretty good too...its quite different from the Taiwanese one....

There is a TON of eye candy...so many hot guys...but not that much romance like the Taiwan one...more about friendship...but the drama is pretty funny...I enjoyed it!

I'm currently watching "Fated to love you". It's a taiwanese drama. Usually I steer away from taiwanese dramas cause I thought most of them were pretty lame and over exaggerated. But I really like this one. It's really cute. You should give it a go. =]

HK: Heart Of Greed, Moonlight Resonance, Drive of Life, Forensic Heroes 1 & 2, Speech of Silence.
(I watch alot of HK dramas since I am from HK, but they are the best recent ones I've seen )

+ One Litre of Tears [ You can literally cry one litre of tears for this <3 it`s so touching ]
+ Hana Yori Dango [ Personally, I liked the 1st series better ^___^" - AND OMG OGURI SHUN AS RUI <33 ]
+ Gokusen [ 1 was interesting - rather .. inspiring? some what .. I guess xD 2 & 3 - it sorta gets repetitive, but still somewhat fun to watch ]
+ Yukan Club [ It`s rather funny (: More of a friendship based one? ]
+ Kurosagi [ Rather interesting (: Haha, YAMAPI <3 ]

+ Bullfighting <3 [ One of the only Taiwanese dramas that has made me want to continue watching ; OH AND MIKE HE! ]

Taiwanese : It Started With A Kiss 1. I don't really like They Kissed Again/It Started With A Kiss 2.. You should watch Fated To Love You as well.....it's SO good!

LIFE - a must watch. Revolves around bullying in a high school. If Hana Kimi wasn't aired in 2007, this drama will win Best Drama hands down. It did won best Supporting actress [the main bully] and Best Director [If I remember it correctly]

Akihabara@DEEP - 6 people [ahem, mostly geeks] who formed a group to 'protect' their beloved area, Akihabara. Hilarious!

Gokusen 1 - The first series really pwned the other two. Seriously.

Nodame Cantabile - Love it!

-Love Contract was alright. Some parts I liked some I didn't.
-I haven't finished Romantic Princess yet, but it was still enjoyable. Plus Wu Zun/Wu Chun and Calvin are in it.
- I LOVE It Started With A Kiss 2 (They Kissed Again)!!! It is a must watch!
- Fated To Love You has a really cute plot. You should brace yourself on the first episode...it is kind of...sexual? xD
-My friends told me that The Secret That Cannot Be Told is really good too. I've been meaning to watch it, but haven't. I love how Jay Chou is in it.
- My mommy told me Smiling Pasta was a really good one too. She used to stay up really late watching it.

You SHOULD NOT watch:
Tokyo Juliet- I did not like it at all!! Plot was totally lame. I don't care is anyone else liked it. I thought it was stupid even if it has Ariel Lin and Wu Chun in it!
