We've been having some technical difficulty the past couple of days with our database which caused prolonged outages during various times of the day. We're still working on correcting the problem, so be advised that if you get database errors often, it isn't just you but its affecting the site as a whole.

I thought its just me that's not being able to access soompi..glad to know I am not the only one. I realised that the IPB and driver errors are more frequent after daily maintenance

I was crushed when I couldn't get on soompi last night. o______O
I really hope you guys eventually find a fix to the problem!

but i went onto public pcs and that happened too xD

Poorly configured database servers, system resources and poor SQL statements lead to problems like these.

I am suprised IPB has yet to iron out this problem as it is a closed source product.

Why use IPB when you can migrate to SMF open source with absolutely zero payload? I am guessing Soompi has customised PHP/SQL functions that rely heavily on IPB to be migrated to SMF.
