So... Anyone here knows who they are? Well, Girls Aloud is one of my favourite girlbands (just as many korean girlbands.. I just love girl groups hehe) and they're set to release their fifth album "Out of control" on 3 november. The first single from this album is called "The promise" and even though I didn't like it at first, I'm addicted to it now.

They came from a TV reality show called Popstars the rivals (2002) and since then they're very popular in the UK. Now, the girls have plans to start promotions in the US. They are also a bit known in the rest of Europe, but not too much.

I LOVE Girls Aloud!!!! I have all their albums and it's fantastic! I'm so excited to receive Out Of Control, I'm resisting the urge to download the leak =O (I listened to The Loving Kind already though ) Glad to see someone else who likes them =) Cheryl and Nadine are my favourite!!

I have preordened Out of control too! I just realize that the album was leaked a little after posting here about them. I only listened to The loving Kind and Untouchable though, and both are great! I'm sure The loving kind will be single.

My favourite member is Cheryl too, love her voice and looks, but Nadine have the best vocal of the group. She's awesome. And well, I also love the sweet voice of Nicola, the kindness of Kimba and Sarah's crazyness.

I love Girls Aloud! I would say Wonder Girls are somewhat like them.

I love The Promise, it's their first proper #1! (the other 3 #1s they have are due to PSTR, charity singles etc.)

Oh and OOC looks like it's heading to #1 as well! =) I haven't got my copy though, I'm waiting for the box set in December. Can't wait!

I love all of the songs from Tangled Up, but my favorites are Fling, Sexy! no no no & Girl Overboard

They did that show 'Poptars the Rivals' right? ... we had that show here too but the groups only lasted a few months or so..how long are they in the music industry now? either way it's pretty good considering most people always have something against groups or singers who participated a show like that and they say that they are 'made'

I must say their music has grown alot, i like it more now then what they had in the beginning

they've been around since 2002 now i guess from the first post. wow i was like 7 then listening to sound of the undergroud

My copy of Out of control arrived a few days ago. I find it a good album, but I think Tangled Up is better, even though OOC is now growing on me. Despite this, my favourite songs are The promise, The Loving Kind, Turn to Stone, Untouchable and Revolution in the Head. Which ones are yours?

Aside from the songs you've listed, Miss You Bow Wow is also a fantastic song in my opinion. It's quirky, addictive, and fun. I'm so sad there's going to be a special edition of the album released in December though and I don't have any money

I really don't know about them but I do know Cheryl Tweedy. And I have to say that I definitely like what I see.

Actually, The Saturdays were on the Tangled Up tour of Girls Aloud as support band. They both are in the same company, Polydor.

Underrated, able to belt out some amazing stuff
YooBin = Cheryl
"Rapper", the sexy one and with the most sex appeal. A lovely voice but not the strongest.
SunMi = Sarah/Nicola
More underrated than YeEun but really able to belt out high notes too
SoHee = Kimba
Well...The cute one but not the best vocalist.

And when I watch the Saturdays, well, it's like watching Girls Aloud
It's like Xenomania is trying to create GA bis, with better vocalists. Still love GA the best.

Oooooooh I love Girls Aloud!! I'm not usually into pop, but I think that they are fabulous.

Nadine is probably my favorite aloud. She's so beautiful and her voice is amazing!

I loooove their new album! My favorite is still 'Chemistry' but it's good nonetheless! As an American, this is like my definition of Europop. My favorite songs from the new album are definitely 'The Loving Kind', 'Love is Pain', and of course 'Untouchable' <3

I think Untouchable is in my top 5 of GA songs. It's so beautiful and they all sound so great on it. xD

I hear that the video of 'The Loving Kind' will premiere sometime next week! I can't wait!

I just got into them when "Tangled Up" came out, and listened to that and their best of album constantly for a good portion of this year. But their new single just hasn't stuck with me. I'll definitely need to listen to the rest of the album though, because I adore the image they have this time around. I love how they really play off of the whiteness of Nicola's skin. She looks GORGEOUS, especially on the cover for "The Promise".

Their main targeted audience used to be pre-teen children.

I guess they've gone for the sexy image now.

With Cheryl being a judge on the X factor really helped to boost their popularity.

I love the video. I never imagined this kind of video for this song, but it's good. I agree with starlight, Nadine and Nicola look the best... Sarah's make-up scares me at first, but she doesn't look that bad. Cheryl is just too skinny, don't you think? . And Kimba is a bit dorky with all those strange faces LOL

Yeah, it's ashame Cheryl has gotten so skinny. It's because of the depression when Ashley cheated on her.... Poor girl. I'm not fond of her headband in that video, haha. It makes her face look weird.

I love Girls Aloud! It's surprising that there wasn't a thread for them before. They've been a guilty pleasure since I heard "Life Got Cold". I quite like "Out of Control". I like it more than "Tangled Up", maybe I'm the only one thinks that. My current favourites on "Out of Control" are "Love is Pain" and "Untouchable". "Untouchable" is absolutely epic.

Poor Cheryl looks too skinny right now. She didn't take the news of Ashley cheating on her terribly well, which is understandable. Cheryl, you can do better than Ashley!

The video for "The Loving Kind" looks great. The glass smashing and Nadine's shoe flying off makes for a memorable ending.

I'm prolly one of the few who don't think Cheryl is TOO skinny. She's healthily skinny, not just a pack of bones. I used to absolutely adore her back in the Chemistry days though

I've known about them for some time now, but only began listening to them late this year. Every member is absolutely gorgeous and complement each other in the group.
