I know this is very last minute, but I have a project where I have to do a creative project based on the story The Metamorphosis. It's about a hardworking son who provides for the family, but he's so caught up in his work that he's not a human anymore, and his external appearance changes into a bug. Because he becomes useless, his family starts hating him, and the hurt eventually causes him to die. I'm trying to find a song I can make a dance to that expresses isolation to the world and humans, very depressing, and shows internal breakdown. "Breathe No More" by Evanescence is the closest thing that I can find right now, but it can't be about loving someone else. If someone could help me in these few hours that would be great!
