Up-and-coming actor Haruma Miura has landed another major role: he has been cast in the upcoming "Crows ZERO" sequel (directed by Takashi Miike). He will play the part of protagonist Genji Takaya's (Shun Oguri) greatest opponent.

Officially confirmed in May, the movie is set months after the first "Crows ZERO." Miura plays Tatusya Mito, the leader of Housen Gakuen, the rival school of Genji's Suzuran. RIZE drummer Nobuaki Kaneko is also appearing in the film playing the third-year Housen student Narumi, an original character for the film.

"Crows ZERO 2" is scheduled for a 2009 release.

We saw Shun's action in the first movie, and saw Haruma's action in Gokusen 3.
Judging by those films, who do you think will win?

I think Oguri Shun will win? He seems alot bigger. I really liked the first movie opponent...his name escapes me. He's tres cool.

^ ya its all clips of the first movie. I almost thought it was trailer for the Crows Zero until they stuck in the II lol

one of my favorite movies! I love them both. I'm hoping to see biiig improvement from Miura in this movie, he's going to rock!
as for who's gonna win, I have a feeling it's Oguri Shun too.

Miura is hot n all, but am I the only one who's not too fond of his hair? it look's a blond toupee resting on his real hair lol.

Miura looks like a wuss, he doesn't have that bad boy aggressive look as that short guy forgot his name, just another pretty boy
i wanna see a Oguri Shun v Matsuda Shota fight or Takashi Tsukamoto

I haven't seen the original one but wow miura and oguri.. sounds really interesting xD

lol ya he doesn't look that good in the photo, but I think he'll do an amazing job in Crows. his build is similar to Shun's except Shun is taller I think
Matsuda Shota would have been an excellent casting choice as well
not too sure about Takashi though. Haven't seen any recent work, but from what I remember he was really skinny. he would have been amazing at acting, but not too sure about the fight scenes

but I can't really picture Miura as Genji's biggest opponent....w.e. happened to rinda man? i guess genji will kick his ass?

does anyone know which cast members will be returning? will genji still have his old crew?

Do you mean Yamada Takayuki from Crows Zero I? That is kind of obvious, Haruma is like 7 years younger than him . I believe Haruma is going to do well in Crows Zero II. He is not just a pretty boy, but a bloody good actor as well.

My goodness Miura is one person who's face I don't get sick of seeing this year.

I'm definetly watching this, I love Shun Oguri too...but I think I love Miura more.

And I will also come to his defense, he is more than a pretty boy

Miura Haruma against Oguri Shun? Miura's acting isn't that...excellent though.
I loved the first movie because everyone's acting (especially the main rival's one - Serizawa was the character's name, I think) was incredibly convincing.

I just can't believe that Haruma will be against Shun...Hmm..very impressive and challenging to him. Am agree that he is a pretty boy. Hopefully he can do well in the fighting scene. So great to see him and Shun in Binbo Danshi as good friend, and now they are working together again..but as rival instead..

thats true, i'd love to see Takashi Tsuakmoto fight his best friend in real life Oguri Shun! or a threesome w/ Matsuda Shota!

Add. info: The filming has ended in early October with the ending of a climax fight scene whereby Oguri faced 149 opponents. The movie will be released on 11 April 2009

Hope he worked hard to not be overshadowed by such an experienced actor like Oguri Shun.

I'm sooo excited for this *_* I loved the first one. I never really cared about Oguri Shun until I saw the first one, and now he's one of my favourite Japanese actors haha. I just wish he would shave that stupid chin hair of his DX I haven't watched anything with Miura Haruma, but he's pretty cute. I think he's a little too pretty boyish for a movie that revolves around guys in high school beating each other up, but I'm interested to see how well he'll act in the movie. Hopefully this movie is as good as the first~

I have to say, I really like Shun's black hair with the side shaved like that.

Talking about Haruma..yeah that guy is pretty cute..but he can still played the role of rebellious kid in high school with gangsters around.. like in Gokusen 3. But I agreed that he is not as tough as the hero of the movie, Oguri Shun.. I guess Haruma's part won't be that much coz I can hardly see him appeared in any behind the scenes pics that I found.

Hopefully CZ II would be as superb as the first one. Gambarre!!!

Wow, part 2 already? I just started watching the first one yesterday.

Thought it was gonna be a serious action movie but it turned out to be kinda weird. But then again, Takashi Miike makes weird movies.

Here comes the biggest challenge for Genji Takiya....

^ that last picture looks like a whole bunch of dead people in white clothes. April 4th is when it will be release in Japan.. that means it'll take even longer for it to come out on dvd.

It's been so long since I saw this thread I can't wait to see the movie.
