personally, i think it's tei and k.will . both of them are amazing singers, especially tei! his husky voice is to die for! and his voice can also be soothing . oh well...maybe everyone should check these talents out more often!

Also there is a difference between being "underrated" and not being popular...
People seem to always mix those two up..You can be rated higly (for the lack of a better
word), but not be very popular.... and vice versa.

the grace - elegant statures, great music, great voices, beautiful faces... too bad they debuted as the counterpart of asia's biggest boyband
davichi - i'm not sure but i think these girls are fairly popular.. just not here at soompi though.. but they really have great voices
2am - i just loved 'this song' .. the lyrics are sooooo beautiful and meaningful

i have to agree on younha and K. Will, really talented, very musical, voices clear and powerful.
younha's piano skills and ability to compose own songs are definitely a plus. she's pretty (in the quiet sense of the word) and definitely cool... i think she's gaining popularity slowly but oh so surely

^Exactly! The first person I could think of is Peter Hyun.
This guy is an all-round performer. He definitely has the voice
and the moves! He's also talented enough to sing and dance @ the
same time without missing a note..Well I don't think he ever lipsync in any
of his performance, a true performer I must say.It's SOo just so bad that he didn't managed to get
all the necessary media exposure and popularity he deserves. Seriously, I can't wait for
his second album and hopefully, it will be released very soon..Sigh..Talented singers r always

Definately one of the artist is csjh the grace. They have so much talent they can pwnd any girl group out there. To bad SM doesn't seem to know what to do with them and don't promote them that much. I think they are slowly making it big in japan though.

i listen to csjh's songs alot and personally i would favor them than those other girl groups like wondergirls and whatnots ! and jang ri in, omg she has such GOOD voice but all people could do is criticize her korean pronunciation which i think is pretty unfair considering the fact tht she is afterall a chinese . a VERY talented one, on top of that . it's like...she shot to fame with the song 'timeless' and she could attain much more fame but nothing much is done after that and she slowly faded into the background i guess? hmm i may be wrong tho'....just my two cents lol .

FREAKIN' TALENTEDDD. They ALL are! Gosh.. and V.O.S was only a experimental group, I guess that's why they don't get promoted as much. These guys stand there pouring their hearts out on stage, but they don't even get recognized. They've gained more popularity than before, that's no doubt... but ugh. T_T And CSJH! Seriously? They are so damn underrated in both Korea AND Japan! And wth, what are they lacking? They can sing, they have looks, they can dance.

They all deserve better, all of their talents are going to waste.

When I think of Super Junior being underrated, I can only think of Shin Dong being underrated. I rarely see him in MVs when a new Super Junior one comes out (and I'm not counting the sub group videos). Every time I watch Don't Don and Twins, I'm thinking, "Where the heck is he?!"

A'st1! That's for sure! They are all cute, handsome, talented, funny...And yes i'm biaised XD If it wasn't for that Suju deal and their lack of promotion, they would have got a lot more attention than now.

I aggree about some members of Super Junior. But isn't it their concept? Having several talents: some have more confidence when they sing, some can entertain, some can dance like gods...there are necessarily some members who get more light if SJ are not promoting as a whole group. So...let's wait for March 2009 ^^

I think JYP's 2 AM is pretty underrated.
I'm personally a fan of their songs...and i think they have talent..
and sing alot better than alot of these idol groups nowadays.....

There are a lot of singers are underrated because of the huge fanbases of the idol groups. However, the ironic thing is that the idol groups themselves are underrated as well in terms of their music. DBSK who are properly acknowledged in Japan, aren't in Korea because of their idol title as well as Big Bang. Those two are prime examples. They make great music that can definitely reach out to all age groups whether it's music they themselves took part in creating or music that they just lent their voices to.

I'll say Soul Maya (마야) deserves more attention.

Maybe it's the fact that not many people enjoy that style of Rock/Ballad, but her talent can't be denied. Seriously I've never been amazed by such female vocals and charisma on stage, and good/funny manners out stage =)

Don't get me wrong there are plenty of talented men out there in the Korean Music Industry that are totally underrated, however it's tough being a woman in Korea especially since it's harder for girls to succeed in an industry where boybands dominate (fanbase).
