Its suppose to add volume to your hair?

Yea yea I know its cheesy but it looks more convenient than teasing your hair all the time.

Reviews or comments anyone?

I'd like to know as well.
I'm so sick of teasing my hair every morning.
My hair is thin enough already as is, with the teasing I lose even more hair sleep.gif

OMG! I was soooo tempted to buy it when I saw the commercial on tv, but changed my mind because I don't think it'll work too well, or it'll be too obvious.

I don't ever tease my hair, mainly because I hate how it feel, but I love love love volume. My hair is really nice and volumnize when I just finish showering, but after 3-4 hours, it's goes flat and dull. = (

OOOO FU------- !!!!

I NEED THAT !!! w00t.gif w00t.gif w00t.gif

but probably my thin hair is not thick enough to cover the bumpits T_T

Okay, I googled reviews, it doesn't work well if you don't have a lot of hair.
If you have thin hair, it's hard to cover the thingie without using a lot of bobbypins and hairspray

And when I read the reviews, someone mentioned this similar thing called Vidal sasson "Hair Pouf"

You can find it at Ulta for $9.99 . Source: http://forum.purseblog.com/the-beauty-bar/...-of-395088.html

LOL. I thought I was the only one...

Anyway, I think it'd be a lot more embarassing if someone could see that through your hair compared to seeing knots in your hair through teasing. It looks really useful for thick hair though... it seems to give that "perfect" shape most girls aim for when teasing their hair.
kishycathiee
Oooh, looks interesting tongue.gif
i never seen my hair poofed before XD
lol^_^
Its very Staten island...its too big for me
Chii-Chan
wow, thanks bunnylicious.
I was actually gonna buy the bumpits on ebay.
on the bighappiehair site it's $19.99 for the product + $25 for S/H to Canada.. $45 for bumpits :S

I'll prob buy the hair poufs sometime next week.. and if there's no review.. I'll post one!
justwildbeat
^Oh geez that is such a rip off for a piece of plastic, it definitely is not worth that much .

Haha I first thought this commercial was a joke at first. It looks useful but the hairstyles that they featured looked a little beauty pageant-ish.

Same. Haha.

Ooh, I'm gonna buy the Vidal Sasson one for my friend and I.

pinkpuffipillows
We sell this at my work so I do hair demonstration all day with it
there's two sizes "rockstar" which is the big big one
and "Hollywood" which is the medium size
hollywood is the one you would go for
they come in packs of 4 along with an instruction guide, and you're right it's not meant for people with really really thin hair but it is a popular seller
santarito
i thought it was about the hair in the ass
xlullaby
ooh i hate the process of teasing my hair...cause when I'm done and tidying it up, I end up just combing the volume away....cause all the teasing makes my hair look nappy or tangled in the back.

I'm considering getting it. anyone ever try it before??? Does it really stay in place?

and the vidal sassoon one....they look really small/short...can you use these for the crown of your head too? A lot of the demos I saw on youtube show them being used for the front bump...Wouldn't I have to use more than one for the crown? hmm if so, maybe the bumpit would be easier since it only takes one and don't have to worry about making it even and whatnot...
~ BunnyliciouS ~
'Kay I got the VS Hair Pouf kits today and played around with them a bit biggrin.gif

I still need to tease the hair, but not as much as without the Hair Pouf.
For this style,
- Lift a section of my hair on the crown, teased like usual. No need to tease multiple sections, one is enough.
- spray some hairspray on the roots
- flip the teased hair section forward
- clip one medium clip (the kit comes w/ 2 small and 2 medium) on the teased roots. Took me a few tries before I could find the proper location
- cover the clip with the teased hair
- apply hairspray for hold, and done.

hanako
^ followed your link from the what did you buy today thread... this is exactly what i'm looking for. ohmy.gif i for one hate teasing and putting so much hairspray in my hair, and in the end it doesn't even look volumized... -___- would you say it stays in your hair pretty well? does it feel heavy on your head?

you look so cute with a hairband. biggrin.gif
mizzxangie
hmmm.. i wonder how that would look on me LOL.

yeaaaah the topic title made me go X____X;
i thought it was talking about..
hairy armpits.. or butts. LAWL. -dies-
~ BunnyliciouS ~
^
^ yeah it stayed in hair pretty well, after a few tries.

At first few tries, it was kinda hard to find the right position so that the bump looked natural, and to make the clip stayed put when I flipped the teased hair back because the comb of the hair clip didn't grip the teased roots properly.

It's not heavy at all, it feels the same as when I wear a regular hair clip.

LOL cute? Thanks ^^"
hanako
^ cool! thanks for your reply. smile.gif i couldn't resist and bought it already. can't wait to try it out!! biggrin.gif
peacee
seems like we're going back to the 80s with the big hair and hairspray. ive seen the demonstrations the woman was doing on the model. u still have to tease it either way. seems not worth my $$ and big hair is not my thing
Yoora
hell no
i love Hairspray the musical and their lovely bump it hair
but i prefer to have a teased hair
xDD
i don't use much wax and i stopped the hairspray
i have thin hair
but i still can make it look like it's super soft xD so i'm good

yeah. just like skinny jeans, leggings, tights, and leg warmers...
At the mall yesterday, I saw 4-5 girls with pouf hair hahah
queenxmabel
Haha, that's way easier than teasing or clipping it up.
Heyy, maybe I should put a tutorial on here.
It's not that hard to make one without the bumpit.
But Idk if it'll end up that huge.

agreed. I was like WHAT ARE YOU SERIOUS. ARE THESE THINGS FOR REAL. I don't really understand sad.gif Volume is good, but the commercial was so ridiculous

Lol this reminds me of a tutorial on youtube where the guru suggested to put a rolled up sock in your hair...All I could think of is if my boyfriend ran his hands through my hair and a sock or a Bumpit fell out ph34r.gif
Yuenie
Oh I thought the commercial for this thing was the most hilarious thing ever when I saw it on TV...
I think this thing might work, however better for people with thicker hair.
(Since it might easily show by accident if your hair is thin I would think?)

But the price of it is definitely not worth it for a couple pieces of cheap plastic.
xqtpi
Haha, I saw an ad for this while watching a Degrassi marathon xD
I couldn't stop laughing at the commerical! It was just so... ridiculous!
It's kind of cheesy for my taste. & I actually kind of like teasing my hair. It's fun. That and my hair is pretty thin.
I don't think it's worth it though. I mean, it's cheaper to just find a comb.
ngarky
OOOOOOO looks convenient!
but LMAO i read it as "bum pit" too..and big hair coming after that
didn't make it sound any better LMFAO
daehanminguk1345
It must be me, but that looks like a torture device... ph34r.gif

As much as I'd love to have more volume in my hair...

I've read a lot of bad review on this, but your post makes me want to go out and buy it. ><

I've heard some people say they've found this on the "As seen on tv" section of Walgreens, has anyone else seen it there, recently?
c.to_
lol, ihave a feeling in 20 years or so, the teens of that generation will be googling this and thinking ' wtf?!??!?!'
kinda like the mullets of the future?
i unno, maybe it's just me.
epikxlove
on the tyra banks show they were reviewing a bunch of products they sell in tv

i just ordered this a few days ago it should arrive soon. i payed $7.46 or something like that for it
and i have thick hair so i think i can cover it up well
can't wait to try it out! i love big hair!
nom_de_plume
I think this is a style that only looks good as an updo. I don't really understand why you'd want a huge bump in your hair if it was down....

And I'm glad bumpit told me it wasn't edible...because I wouldn't have known otherwise! tongue.gif lol
walkingmuse
bump its are soooo obvious though
every time I've seen someone with one that didn't tell me they had one I was like "Oh you're wearing a bump it."
and to me that's not good.
amaya8731
lol i just got a box of Bumpits, it took me a while to get it to work with my hair cause it kept showing in the back
