I've been following this one for awhile and I gotta say each arc is pretty awesome. Although in between arcs is pretty lame for the five-ish chapters is takes, plus the MAIN plot line moves really slow. But otherwise, good manga. The artist was originally one of the assistants for One Piece's artist, and then started doing his own manga, which is why the art looks so similar to the One Piece pirate style.
But really, if I had to make a call on which one was animated, I really wish it was this one instead of One Piece, because it's just that awesome.

I wonder if Makarov will die. Hope it doesn't happen though. But if he does, I wonder who'll be the new master of Fairy Tail. Probably Luxus. Gah, finally. We get to see Mist Gun in action, but it wasn't much. "Another-!!!" Gah, I wonder this is about. This is going to bug me a bit until the next chapter is released. I wonder if this is a clue on Mistgun's identity.

^ Same here. Man, the next chapter better be good. Who'll win? Luxus or Mistgun? It might end up in a draw. I wonder if we get to see Mistgun's past. Luxus's father was expelled from Fairy Tail right? I wonder if Gildartz is related to Makarov and Luxus. What if he's Luxus's dad? Maybe Master Ivan is Luxus's father since he seems to have a grudge against Fairy Tail. I don't know. The possibilities are endless.

Slow story... and I don't like the fact that fairytail is like a club mostly for young hot people... I mean if they're that good, they should have some older characters who are experienced and stuff?... I don't know, just wished there was more variety I guess. Some other stuff I didn't like but, it's a unique storyline~

Looks like they're gonna introduce even MORE characters now...Which is really starting to bother me. There's just too many characters.
Keeping track of the antagonists, protagonists, etc. is getting really hard. Thank goodness it's so much fun to read though.
So now Fairy Tail is gonna form an alliance and fight against a Dark Guild. So I really can't wait to see if Hiro Mashima is able to introduce MORE cool characters. But it seems that everything Fairy Tail is doing is actually just falling into a trap provided by that Hades guy of Grimoire Heart. Either way, looks like there's gonna be some nice action coming up! Although I can't really figure out what the whole Luxus arc is about now. All that fighting just to excommunicate Luxus . I hope that arc comes back to have some effect on the story later and that we get to see some more of "Enlightened Luxus"!.

wooo! i was wondering when this thread was going to be made.
after hearing how similar this was to one piece it actually caught my attention.
now i love fairy tail!! its super awesome.
i agree bout the arcs. i feel like there is something that is always missing within each arc. like each arc isnt as deep as it should of been. and wassup with the one-hit kill fights? like that time when erza fought that one guy who took down the master within one hit. i was expecting more than that. but regardless, i love this manga. it goes against one piece's comdey but i must admit that fairy tail one ups it. happy...is all i gotta say. aye!
swear each time i keep reading this manga the more and more i want a fairy tail tattoo. lol.
but neways, cant see what comes next. seems like this new arc is going to be dope. i hope they have more depth into it and better fights. btw, am i the only one who cant wait to see this turn into an anime. ahhhh!

Nope. You're not the only one. I would love to see an anime adaptation of this series.
My goodness. There are more characters now. I almost forgot the main protagonist's name, Natsu. Are there even people out there that actually remember all these names? It's crazy.
Who is this Wendy girl? I have a feeling that she is a dragon slayer. She must be hecka strong since she was the only mage sent from Cait Shelter. Random, but the wings on her arms is cute.

I don't think she's a dragon slayer though. Probably someone Natsu met during his childhood or something.

i just have the feeling that wendy is just maybe either an anti-magic person that their magic is rendered null or that their magic is reflected back at them.
I am still abit bumped that the initial Mistgun vs Luxus fight was so short and that Mistgun just passed on to Igneel.
And also abit shortchanged now that it seems if someone seems unbeatable,chances are they are a dragon slayer

It's no surprise that Wendy was captured. Funny how she grabbed Happy's hand instead of Charle's. Haha!

awww man,now the author seems to throw about the dragon slayer term alot more loosely now..- -;; It used to be only Natsu and gazille but the last 2 could use a different more creative term or something.

Yeah, it's usually out by now, but I looked at the table of contents for
Weekly Shonen Magazine and it's not released until tomorrow, 7/22/09. So we'll be seeing ch. 144 late this week.
Next chapter is titled "A Beautiful Voice" (きれいな声, "Kirei na Koe")

The fight between Aries and Loki was short. Aries was determined to fight against him. Thought she wasn't a fighter type since Loki told Karen that she isn't
Angel can summon two stellar spirits at once huh? And if so, Lucy is capable of doing it too.
Hopefully Angel is done for. Which spirit(s) will Lucy get? It's likely Geminini and Aries. Not too sure about Scorpio.
Uranometria must be a stellar spirit spell. Looks like Lucy has potential to power up.

but yea i think Fairy Tail will be the next big shonen anime next to naruto and one piece

Ah! Fairy Tail.
I've been following this manga for a while now.
And I've got to say, I really like it.
I've always been much of a GrayxLucy and NatsuxLucy.
Hell, I like everyone with Lucy. LOL
Haven't been much of a Ezra lover though.
Idk. the chapters always put me in suspense...
like edge of my seat clinging on. Hehe.
Can't wait for the next chapter!!!!

Probably enough for the first fifty episodes. I wouldn't mind seeing fillers though. It could work since each arc is pretty short.
