ive listen to japanese, chinese, korean... and now im kinda moving onto vietnamese... habit of mine

anyways, please post any recommendations for good viet singers that you like?

I'm not familiar with Viet artists...but Trish Thuy Trang is quite popular among young people...she may be Vietnamese..but most of her songs are in English.

or Asia, but I definitely prefer PBN. (;
And some of the back-up dancers for PBN are hot -- Rynan from JabbaWockeez was a backup dancer for the show before. (;

well there was one that I really liked & they were called Puriti [consisted of Anh Minh & Thuy Huong] but they splitted like in 2008 or 2007 so now they solo artist..but i think there are still their songs that they sing together as a group somewhere on the internet...just look around...

Hà Anh Tuấn. I liked his album released in 2008. I hadn't heard about him before, but I downloaded the album randomly off a Viet music website and liked most of it. It's not the more typical "classic" Vietnamese music that I usually listen to when I listen to Viet music, though.

Otherwise other people have already suggested artists I would've mentioned, though I don't like the more "teeny" ones much in Viet music. Oh, I have a soft spot for Như Quỳnh from Thuy Nga, too.

Also look for Viet music to listen to listen to on eSnips to find stuff you like. There're people will folders of Viet music there for you to listen to. Then track down the stuff you like or figure out how to get it off eSnips (it's not hard, just use a Google search).

My sister is in LOVE with Minh Tuyet. Her songs are pretty good. I really like Tham Goi Ten Anh.
Diem Lien doesn't sing too much pop songs (?), not too familiar with Van Son, but I really liked her Van Son 39 performance of "Con Yeu". Songs she picks to sings are very good and really proves her vocal skills...

i like vietnamese singer but now i like korean singer like : Bi Rain, Hyori, Big bang wonder girl and Super Junior

Go on youtube and search for "The Gioi Vpop". It is a music show for teen and there are a lot of new singers in it. They are kind of idols singers in Vietnam.

For idols singers you have Dong Nhi, Thu Thuy, Thuy Tien, Khong Tu Quynh, Ngo Kien Huy, Quoc Thien, Quang Vinh, Minh Hang, Ung Hoang Phuc, Khanh Phuong, Noo Phuoc Thinh, Dai Nhan & Hoa Mi.

For boyband there are Weboys, La Thang, GMC (disbanded) and AC&M and for girlgroups there are May Trang, 5 dong ke, Lo Lem and HAT, but I don't know if you will like them.

even though i'm vietnamese, i'm picky about vietnamese music because it all sounds the same to me after a while. generic techno, trish thuy trang-ish pop.

if you're into hip hop i recommend young uno, li'l knight, spyder (i recommend his song, "last call.")

i also recommend the song "good bye" by Vu Thanh Hang if you're into r&b. her other songs are also quite good, poppish but not too generic.

if you're into rock, tinna tinh (sp? can't remember) is quite unusual. my boyfriend's brother loves her.

nguyen thang is okay too... just okay, hahaah.

Well, I'm not too updated on Viet music, but it sounds way too traditional to my ears. Most of the artists are meant for, not to be mean here, for old people. Viet music is waaaay behind compared to other Asian countries.
