So everyone has some comfort foods that really hit them home, and evoke special feelings... Come and share yours =)
For me, it's Rice, Kimchi, Hot Dog, and Egg. Weird mix, but back when I was little, my dad was in the Marine Corps, and we weren't exactly well off. To try and save / maintain our budget with all the travel, a meal of rice, kimchi, hot dog, and egg was on the table 3-5 times a week (lunch or dinner). Ketchup on the hot dog and fried egg, sprinkles on the rice (seaweed and shaved bonito), kimchi on the side.
I actually still eat this about once a week, makes me smile and remember good times... they were hard, and the tough part was eating the same thing five times a week, but the love was in it being special every time =)

A huge pot of pasta shells with tomato sauce, and spiced up with about 7 whole jalapeno peppers, seeds and all. I've acquired a really high resistance to heat after eating spicy foods since I was little, and the spicier it is the better I feel.
