Synopsis:
When Tom, a hapless greeting card copywriter and hopeless romantic, is blindsided after his girlfriend summer dumps him, he shifts back and forth through various periods of their 500 days "together" to try to figure out where things went wrong. His reflections ultimately lead him to finally rediscover his true passions in life.

Is it just me or does it remind anyone else of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind where when Jim Carrey's character is about the have the "operation" he goes through the memories of him and Kate Winslet's character?
Which is another reason for me why I should watch it because I loved that movie, :

This looks so ADORABLE. Rom-com done well? I'm there! And the trailer song is nice. Is is Morgan Freeman doing the voice over? I just saw March of the Penguins recently and his voice is still in my head. Joseph Gordon-Levitt has aged very well. ^^

i went to see a screening of it a few days ago and i thought it was pretty good. it's flawed, but i still enjoyed it. maybe i'm a bit inclined to joseph gordon levitt and some of the one liners were pretty good. the soundtrack fit the movie and some parts were cleverly written. the intro with the disclaimer is hilarious.

story is refreshing and it does have that indie vibe, though some of it's transitions needs work. at times i felt it was trying a little too hard to be indie and other times it was so different that i enjoyed it very much.

i wouldn't pay money to watch it in theaters, but that's just me and my wallet just living through this economy haha. i would get more marginal benefit by seeing it on dvd though.

i liked it, but i didn't love it.

saw this a couple days ago ..it was good but i think i had somewhat higher expectations.
it wasn't as grand as i thought it would be, still good though just not great.

Haha, a preview came on the tele and my sister said to me, "This looks like something you would watch."

saw this the other day and loved it. pretty sure i was biased though, since zooey and jgl were in it and i looooove them. they're an attractive couple!

I wanted to go watch this, but the theater that's showing it is too far.

I'm usually a harsh critic when it comes to these types of films but I was sold on this one. I loved everything down to the cinematography, music, and costumes (goodness I love their clothes). What I liked especially though was that it wasn't like any other typical and predictable romantic films where everyone just ends up merrily together. Instead it painted a realistic and relatable picture of people falling in and out of relationships and the duality of fantasy and reality that exists in our minds when we think we're in love. One of my favorite scenes was at the end when Tom and Summer were sitting on that bench together at his favorite spot looking at the buildings and she told him about the feelings of "love" with her new man that she never believed in before and him realizing that all those feelings of love were just bullsh*t afterall - it was like they traded a part of themselves when they were together but even when they broke up, the kept that part and brought it with them to another part of their lives... so in a sense, I thought it was a happy ending for the both of them. Haha for me, it was just refreshing to see something that wasn't so focused on the romance but rather the breakup. Highly recommended.

Did I mention Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one hot piece of ass? Well if not, HE IS.

I absolutely loved this movie. It was a very refreshing film for this summer and Joseph Gordon-Levitt's smile is just adorable.

I also loved this movie as well. Not your typical romance movie and I would said this is way better some of the so call romance movie out there with the so call happily ever after ending.

i just watched this!! joseph gordon levitt is such a cutie!! loved how this isn't your typical, conventional romantic comedy...some parts were quite funny though! overall, i really enjoyed it!

Ugh! I'm so upset that there are no theatres showing this movie in my city T___T. Are there any chances of this being released in all theatres? I CANNOT wait for the DVD LOL.

This movie is so good

The soundtrack is amazing.

I watched this movie today and I fell in love with it. It's definitely one of my favourites and I would recommend it to anyone. The acting was superb as were the writing, directing, and basically everything else. Oh, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is hot as hell, so that's a plus. ;D As some people have already mentioned, it's not your typical romance-comedy -- it's so much better. Go watch it now!! Also, I just have to mention that the soundtrack is AMAZING, so if nothing else, go and listen to it.
