waddup peeps! it's a SOOMPI SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT (SSA)

we are working on creating a single login system for the site so when you login to the forum, you will automatically be logged in to the main site... but we need your help!

if you have an account on the main site, we need you to make sure the email address for your forum account and your main account are the SAME. EXACTLY THE SAME! otherwise, you'll make me cry (;_;) ... ^^;

so if you could do that RIGHT NOW, that would be the awesome. thank you for your cooperation!

Also, even if you only have a forum account or your emails match, please make sure it is current and something you can receive email from. You will still need to update your email address, if it is not current.

How do I edit my email address?
in the forum - go to MY CONTROLS, and click on Change Email Address on the Menu (left side). You will have to verify your change so check your email for a message from Soompi for instructions.
in the main site - click on MY PROFILE at the top, click EDIT tab

What if I don't have an account on the main site?
Then it doesn't matter. This is only if you do.

What if my user name is different in the forums and main site?
Thats ok - we just need the email addresses to match. That is how we will know you are the same person!

soompi main site ?? so it's not that soompi forum is the main site ? oh... I never know there was a main site. so how if you haven't have an account in the main site ?

Just set your forum email address to the same one you use on the main site. You don't have to create a new email. You just have to make sure your email address on the main site and on the forums is the same.

then how would i do that? sorry but im just a beginner here i dont know alot of stuff here

I use the same email address for both, but I added a few more characters to my username for the main site.

I have a question!
Can we change our emails to ones like yahoo and gmail and such? Because I remembered when I registered I had to use my friends private email but I'm not quite sure if they even use it anymore and I've been wanting to change it for a while now but I don't want my account to be changed in anyway. I used a yahoo email to sign up in the main website but I'm not sure if I can change my forum email.

Yes you can
Soompi doesn't have that required paid e-mail sign up anymore, or that other sign-up (using some attachment thingie..)
I THINK the only restriction Soompi has now, concerning e-mails is that you cannot have more than one forum username signed up with the same e-mail address (you're not even supposed to have more than one account anyway....)

so what if my main account for soompi has a different user name and a different email
would I need to create a new account using my soompi forum's user name and email?

I'll go check.....I seriously don't even remember if I even have one of the main site. I never use it.

And I'm pretty sure of the answer but just in case: it doesn't matter if your username is different on the main site, right? I mean, that's why you're asking about the email addy.

Different user names is not a problem. We will match accounts using email addresses, so your email address on both accounts has to match. (That is how we will know you are the same person). Thanks!

I cant see the message in that screen shot - but do you have 2 forums accounts? If so, then the other forum account probably has the same email address as your main site account and that is the problem. If this doesn't make sense, feel free to PM me.

Same emails are used for both accounts.

thanks about this message. anyways though, I don't remember my password and email on the main homepage. Also, I forgot if it is the same email that I used. But I remember that I use the same username here on the forum. Anyway, my email on the forum is the one that I am using.
