They're great! Here's an old topic on the band's songwriter/vocalist: http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=77104

Check out the music show Ra Ra Ra from 2/25. Black Skirts and Lee Jang Hyuk were on together.

Their music is so catchy and good
I love the singer's Korean... it sounds so Korean-American to me xD

WHOA! I love them! I've never listened to Korean indie before (only mainstream), which is weird because I pretty much only listen to American/British indie music. But this band is awesome! This is my first experience with Korean indie and I must say I'm liking it. He doesn't even sound Korean when he sings in English. Thumbs up, adding to my music.

^I'm thinking it's because he's also from New York, I believe? I do agree, however, that this is definitely a thumbs up.

is there any pix of these guys? I can't find anything on them when I google them... They are amazing... I thought I was listening to some American rock group at first...

I only heard Tangle and so can someone post some of their other song with a streaming site so I can listen to it...
thanks in advance.

I love this band. Cho Hyu Il (who is indeed from NY/NJ)'s voice is irresistible and the songs are ridiculously catchy.

That said, their album is available on iTunes in the U.S., and there are a decent number of videos of them up on youtube. The two most complete sets of songs up on youtube are a group of videos of them performing on an MBC music program of some sort (ends in "la la la" but I don't know what the first part of the title means) and at a Rubysalon show, respectively. These include about 7 of the 10 songs on the album and are fairly high quality videos with very good audio. I believe the band is also on last.fm.

Hate to resurrect the thread that was posted earlier, so i'll just ask here: does anyone know if Castel Prayon ever recorded anything?

Only for various demos.

Though, he did sorta release an album in March under his own name and it was called "My Feet Don't Touch The Ground (And I'm So Winded I Can't Sing For You Today)". It was a bunch of demo recordings given to fans at The Black Skirts concerts, and left over copies could be picked up through Ruby Salon's shop. More on that here.

Any updates?

I've noticed that they've changed some members around.

^Well, they haven't released any new music. I'm not sure about the member changes, though. (Which you've made me very curious all of a sudden.) However, based on my Last.fm they're supposed to perform at the Grand Mint Festival (which has artists like Wheesung, Lasse Lindh, The Cribs, Denison Witmore, etc) on Oct. 24. Only "update" I know of.

I'd love a new album, though...
