Does a lot of people know of her? I just saw her perform and she is just beautiful and her song is great too.

She's pretty famous. I have heard of her [from soompi threads] but never heard or saw any of her songs until recently. It was "WoWa" [i think] and i like her voice, but she looked and sound too monotonous to me =/ i'll check out more before i judge though.

Eh, she's all right. Not bad, but I don't find much extraordinary about her is all.

yeah, of course i know her. she was really popular for a long time--and still is, i think. my personal fave album is probably her Style album (the one before her most recent full album which is called Queen of Hip Pop).

btw WoWa is THE WORST Namie song i've EVER heard so don't base anything on it and don't watch the video unless you're gonna watch other ones later. it's so monotonous, you're absolutely right.

i have mixed opinions of her in general, probably because there's quite a difference between many of her songs depending on what time period they're from. also check out the stuff she did as a side project under the name Suite Chic.

mad dancer, this woman. her concerts are awsome^^. think she won the best female artist of asia or something of 2005. just not sure which award show it was

awesome concert performer, always dances, and she sings live. yea wowa's just cute but not remarkable. check out her other videos from her previous album or just check out her concert dvd from her namie style era. awesome!

I've heard a few of her songs...she's not bad. I think I've seen a couple of her pvs from her Queen of Hip Pop album...she seems like a pretty good dancer.

She was soooo famous when she was younger, but then she got pregnant. And when she returned to singing, her popularity was never the same, I heard. But she's still doing all right. She's really young looking for her age.

Don't you guys agree it was such a good album?? At first I was obsessed with Hide&Seek, now I love Hello and Top Secret.

hehe i loved namie amuro back in the day... i'm talking like 1995. she came out with songs where the english made absolutely no sense (like what does "body feels exit" mean? it sounds like something toilet-related), but it was good dance music. she has a really strong, good voice too, much easier to listen to than some other female JPOP artists who tend to sound a little nasal and screechy.

for her later songs, i like:

i have never seen
put 'em up

i don't know her really recent stuff. for JPOP i only keep up with ayumi hamasaki.

I like Namie. I tried out her Baby Don't Cry single and it was good.
Her songs are a bit more different from Jpop, so she interests me.

^ OMG...I totally agree! I LOVED the song so much and was expecting this ravishing, sweeping, epic-like music video, but boy was I wrong. She just...Walked around, the orange leaves part was nice, but what does walking around have to do with the song?! They could've done so much more!
