Howdy all,

Some of you may have noticed the red "Feedback" tab that went live on the forum index page like...five minutes ago:) We wanted to find a good way to let everyone voice their opinions about what they want on the site, things they want us to focus on, etc. So we found this cool little widget that lets everyone submit their feedback to us and vote on their preferences. And remember you can ADD YOUR OWN REQUESTS!

How to Use it:
- It will only appear when you are on the forums pages using the "SOOMPI ROYALE" Skin as a red tab on the left-side of your screen.
- Click on it and it takes to you a voting page.
- You do not need to log in to vote - you can just vote.
- Each person gets 10 votes, but you can allocate them however you want. You can allocate up to 3 VOTES per item if you really want something:)
- You can create your own requests, like if photo galleries are very important to you, then add it!

We will be keeping an eye on the info you guys send us, so don't be shy! Let us know what you want!


POTENTIAL ERROR FOR SOME USERS - hey all - some people are reporting that the widget is not loading or the page doesnt load. we looked into it and it seems to be a DNS issue - translation: we cant do anything about it, but it should resolve itself over the next week or so. if the feedback tab doesnt load for you, try going to this link directly.

Cool. I think it's worth mentioning that the tab is only available on the Soompi Royale skin though.

It doesn't work for me. It says "Sorry, 'feedback.soompi.com' doesn't exist"
but when I saw it..I was like o.O what?
must be a new feature or something...lol...

Can you PM me and tell me exactly what happens when you try to vote on a second topic? and what browser, operating system you are on and your location? I dont have any problems voting on more than 1 item on my side...

I used Firefox and EI and it didnt work for both of them..

Sounds like a great idea but I'm also getting the same "Page Not Found" problem.

ok, for everyone who is having issues getting the feedback tab to load - i will ask kevin (our awesome rockstar programmer) to check it out on Monday. so you will have to wait a bit to vote. but, you can also try to go directly to the Feedback system the tab is trying to link you to.

waddup peeps! if the widget is not loading, that means there is something wrong on the USERVOICE end (the site handling the feedback). i wonder if their server flipped out when a zillion soompi-ers started clicking on the tab??

that means you guys are eager to give us your feedback = AWESOME! (or just curious? hehe)

Still not working for me.

it still won't work for me and i just want to let you know that the feedback button only shows up with the soompi royale skin, not the soompi old school skin. i didn't see it and i've always been using the soompi old school skin. i had to switch skins to see it. hope it gets fixed soon!

howdy - yes, all new announcements, some new features, etc will only work in the soompi royale skin - its hard for us to retool and update each skin individually. so if you want to stay up to date on everything, its always a good idea to use whatever the most current skin is:)

question: is that 10 votes per day or 10 votes total..
like if we voted 10 times, then we cannot vote anymore...

How come I need to login when want to comment. I had comment previously without login but already login through Soompi forum.

No worries:) 10 votes total. when an idea is "completed" it means we have finished working in it and released the feature or fix that was addressed in that particular topic. So if you voted for something with 2 votes, and we "complete" that feature and close it, then you get 2 more votes to use!

Uh-huh, the feedback tab still not working for me. It's already my second day *sigh*. I use the Firefox ver. 3.0.8. (just if you need that info) ^^

we just did a small tweak to the code - can you tell me if its working now?

i clicked on it yesterday but nothing popped up. i checked back and it's working now. good way to ask people what they want! i'm also using ff ver 3.0.8.

Is there a way to disable it besides changing the forum skin? It really irritates me that it follows me down the page -__-;;

which skin are you using? search only works on the soompi royale skin.

Can we give negative votes? I'm just wondering because some things may not seem as important. I'm not saying that there is something but I'm just saying if something were to come up, then we can have a vote where we do not like the suggested idea.
