or Sushi









Both very similar in looks, no?

I like sushi because how decorative and unique it can be, but I just like Kimbap better ^^ <3

Kimbap is alright... I don't like most of the ingredients such as SPAM, pickled daikon, carrots... =_=

i think i prefer kimbap, the ingredients seem very homemade

I can't imagine or having myself eating raw fish so yeah...
Never tried kimbap before... but it looks pretty yummy!

I really like sushi. I haven't try kimbap yet. It looks really good though. I should go try some next time.

depends on how fresh it is. i would prefer 2 hour kimbap over 2 hour sushi, but fresh sushi will always beat kimbap unless like it was kimbap with GOLD inside it.

i like sushi better. i dont like most of the ingredients used in kimbap like sesame seed oil. eek. i hate that stuff. i dont like the pickled stuff either. its very unhealthy for you.

Sushi! I do like eating kimbap too (in fact the first time i tried it at my friend's house, I thought her mom just decided to make sushi rolls with ham and egg lol), its just that i prefer the fish/veggie/rice ingredients most commonly used in sushi, whereas kimbap may have ham, beef, sausage, slices of egg omelette..etc in it. Also the rice isn't flavoured with rice vinegar and sugar as is the case with sushi rice.

One reason why i'd prefer kimbap over sushi though? It's really good for a quick and easy snack; no need to dip it in soy sauce or eat with pickled ginger, the ingredients make it taste good on its own =)

Are we talking about any sushi, or only sushi rolls compared to kimbap?

I've got to say sushi.

Kimbap has too much of a "homemade" taste to me. I don't even know what I'm saying, but it makes sense to me. lol.
And I love salmon! Standard kimbap ingredients are kinda just bleh...

Both are great, but I like sushi better.

I love both and would eat them any day but if I had to choose, I'd pick kimbap because I think the ingredients that they put in it mix very well together and the texture of the rice ice chewy and doesn't fall apart that easily.

Definitely sushi. But then again I don't eat Kimbap much. Just looking at that sushi is making my mouth water

I've tried kimbap and it's really good. I might plan to buy it again nearby korean supermarket store.

I looooove sushi (especially ones with salmon, yellowtail, or crab), but I feel like...if I really had to choose, I'd choose kimbap. I didn't grow up eating seafood, so the idea of having a meat or just vegetables inside is more appealing to me. Both are delicious, though.

Also...kimbap is much cheaper! I can get a huge roll for under $2.50, whereas six or seven pieces of sushi is about $10.

I don't like sushi~ i'm not a big fan of the ingredients inside sushi, and the ones i've tried has lots and lots of rice):

I'm Korean, but I gotta go with Sushi. Can't live without Sushi and I crave it almost every second.

oh geez, i haven't tried both i really wanted to cook one but its pretty hard to find in my location looking at those pics makes me hungry

Kimbap is only similar to Makizushi (sushi roll), not other kinds of sushi (like nigirizushi where the meat is on top of the rice). The thread creator should change the title to reflect this.
