Oh, I'm certainly surprised at the lack of attention Merlin is getting here on Soompi, since it's the show everyone on my flist in LJ is talking about. I'm still at the beginning of season 1, though. It definitely seems like it's going to be one fun, interesting show. I like the fantasy elements.

Yeah I just got into this! I just got finished watching episode 3 and I'm really happy with where its going right now. The relationship between Merlin and Arthur is so cute and amusing 
I watched the whole season last year. IT IS SOO GOOD. I loved it. I can't wait for the second season!!
merlin is hideous. totally unattractive but OH SO LOVEABLE!! i love that the chick staying at the castle has premonitions when she sleeps, makes everything interesting . i havent seen merlin in SO long

I first saw this on the Hallmark Channel and decided to download the rest of the series because I couldn't wait to see the next episode. Or maybe because Colin Morgan is too freaking adorable. Oh an his Irish accent surprised me when I saw the cast video diaries on YouTube. I couldn't understand what he was saying at first LOL

Which novel would you be referring to? There have been various novels and movies about the Arthurian legend. If you mean the overall legend, I doubt they will stick very closely to it after seeing what's happened with the storyline. I think Merlin is a very loose adaptation and they're probably not afraid at all to break the constraints of the legend.

i was watching it just then on channel 10, its a rerun since its on Sunday 12.30pm. (Australia). Its pretty interesting , gonna go watch it online and im also a Arthur/ Merlin shipper haha.

Yeah, that child was Mordred though, and Mordred's already been shown in the series and he wasn't Morgana and Arthur's kid. I read/heard somewhere that Morgana was going to be the villain next season or something.

To answer your last question, HECK YEAH! Gwen ends up with Arthur. hahaha But that's just the Arwen fan in me talking. haha But you know if Arthur and Gwen dont end up together the Brits would likely go spaz? haha Because for as long as there has been Arthur, there has been Guinevere....
oh and am I the only one all fired up for the US premiere of this show! I hope America will like it.
I really love this show. Watched all episodes in first season at my local tv. Merlin N Arthur got me hooked every sunday night for 3 month. I really hate it when the show ended last month. Can't wait to watch 2nd season. Hope they will broadcast it after season 6 smallville ended.
