Four member band Stretching Journey released their self-titled debut album last month. They're making some kind of proto/post-punk & garage rock with plenty of interesting influences and most of the songs are such that they just repeat in your head long after you've stopped listening.

I saw them play last weekend. At first I didn't like them and thought they sounded awful, then it turned out to be sound check. I liked them when they played, but it wasn't until I listened to their CD at home that it struck me how phenomenal they are. They're somewhere between Sanwoolim and Galaxy Express, I'd say.

I tried booking them for a show on June 6 but sadly found out they're going on a short break very soon. Tonight's show at Ssamzie Space might be the last time to see them for a while.
