I'm really shocked there's no thread about this.. I went back five pages and saw last year's topic, so I think it's safe to assume this topic hasn't been made yet.

Anybody watch today's game?

Manchester United 0-2 Barcelona

Personally, I'm livid. I'm a huge Chelsea fan and didn't think Barcelona even deserved to be in the final. Not a big Manchester United fan, but I was cheering for them anyway. Pretty disappointed right now. :/

edit: I didn't know Soompi automatically lowercases titles.
Jinkst
I watched it.. Im a Messi fan... and I went nuts when they pull the goal the first 10mins cause it was there first offensive push and Manchester was being so aggressive at first. Ronney had a terriable game and Ronaldo just lost his cool.

Rooney, was pretty much absent the whole time! I'm surprised by Manchester's performance to be honest. I knew Barca was going to bring it and I assumed ManU would too.
There wasn't much cohesion today to ManU's game. They had a lot of good individual efforts, but Barca worked as a whole team and pretty much owned the whole game.

Not complaining though!
CAMPEONES DE EUROPA!!! OLE!

It was so amazing to see Pep at the end. Legendary player en route to becoming a legendary coach. <3 Pep Pep Pep!
Crank up that Coldplay

Ayumi i think you put the wrong score it's actually Manchester United 0-2 Barcelona TT___TT

i am a long time fan of MU , of couse it was sad and disapointed.. however; i'd like to convey my gratitude to the CL winner Barcelona they deserved the thophy! ... Congratulations!! I wish Messi could get the Balon D'or as well ^^'

Like Sir Alex said after the game we were beaten by the better team..

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson paid tribute to the newly-crowned European champions Barcelona, admitting, "We were beaten by the better side."

“We’ve done well. It has been a long season - that was our 66th game - and you’ve got to give the players great credit for the courage and resilience they’ve shown throughout.

"Now we have to come back stronger. That’s what we do at this club. We have to accept it, we’ve been beaten by the better team. Next season, we’ll be stronger.”

Why not? Barcelona were pretty dominant throughout this season's CL. I'm not surprised they won. They've been pretty entertaining in most of their matches, and you can't argue against the talent of Messi and Co (even for a Madridista like me!). Against Chelsea they may have suffered a blip, but they won over two legs and you can't deny that. Chelsea have been pretty much out of it this season, what with Scolari being sacked halfway and players basically not cutting it, and Guus can only do so much. Still, you have the FA Cup to look forward to.

Guardiola had a fantastic first season as Barca coach, winning the Primera Liga title, Copa del Rey and now CL. I don't think anyone should begrudge his achievement.

I just think they got gypped by that rubbish referee. Even Pique was gracious enough to admit the handball. Not doubting Barcelona's skill (Messi is insane, and Iniesta's goal made for some fantastic football had I been a Barca fan), but I honestly think the UEFA referee would have acted differently had last year not been two English teams.

(Also, I wish for more than anything that Hiddink would stay. He's such a fantastic coach.
But, yay, Chelsea won the FA Cup! biggrin.gif)

He got his limelight with Arsenal.
I've always disliked Ronaldo for being a baby, but I thought he was very gracious that night.
