has anyone heard of them or their music? I never see any topics on them here so I was wondering if anyone enjoyed their music as I do. anyways here's some info on them :]

Anberlin is a Christian band signed under the Tooth and Nail records, and their sophomore album, "Never Take Friendship Personal" was released in Feb. of 2005. I recommend ALL their tracks for most rock lovers, especially tracks 1, 2, 5, 8, 11. but all the songs are great, trust me. gah I love Stephen Christian's voice!

I started listening to their music in the beginning of this school year, but I immediately became a fan of their music. their first album, "Blueprints for the Black Market", was also a hit (I recommend: Readyfuels & Glass to the Arson) but in my opinion, nothing beats "Never Take Friendship Personal".

Yes, I fell in love with them after listening to Paper Hymns. Christian really does have a good voice. I too recommend 'Never take Friendshpi Personal', almost every song on the album is great. Hope they release another album soon.

Love them! I don't even remember how I heard about them in the first place, I think it was just ads in a magazine... Anyways, I'm obsessed with "Dance, Dance Christa Paffgen". I didn't even know that they were a christian band for the longest time.

I think they border the emo sound but still pretty good

their new CD, cities, is reallly realllly AWESOME! you guys should check it out, my fav from the new one is A Whisper And A Clamor! dl it and try it out. but the whole Cd is good also xD

yes love them.. and they are SO GOOD in concert. You guys should go to itunes and get the Godspeed single.. There is a song called Haunting and Stephen's voice is SOOOOOO good. But their Cities CD is excellent and Knate is hot. lol. I've read somewhere that all the band members are christian (Knate tattooed 19:14 (for Psalms 19:14) on the inside of his bottom lip) but they do not consider themselves a christian band.

Songs I like: Autobahn, Naive Orleans, Cadence, ok too many to name lol they are all good.

They're soo AWESOOOOOOOOOOME. own the last and current special edition cd (which i think is by far the best). By the way they got a nice color spread in HM Magazine if anyone reads that. And if you know about the magazine RELEVANT they're on the cover this month!! i must say i was more than a little excited. Some of songs i like:

I'm pretty sure that they are not a Christian band. I think I read about it in one of their interviews...anyhow, they said that people kept on mistaking them as being Christian because they were under a Christian label. The majority of bands under Tooth and Nail records are Christrian...but not Anberlin.

Anyways, I love Anberlin! I didn't go to warped tour last year cause I thought all the bands sucked. And they still do this year, but Anberlin is going to be there! So I don't know if I should go just to see them or not...

for the record, anberlin is a christian band because my good friend Christian from former band Acceptance is currently touring with them. if you dont also know who Acceptance is, your def. missing out for sure and also New Heights(www.myspace.com/newheightsmusic).

i havent met any of the members personally but from countless interviews and discussions, stephen clearly states that anberlin IS NOT a christian band.

um read reid's posts (the last one of the second page.) he knows the band personally and he states that they are not a christian band and never have been.

I work for Tooth and Nail/EMI Records . We dont sign bands unless they are a christian based band. Yes, they are not Christian Contemporary Music like Starfield, but in essence a christian band.

anberlin is a "christian" band--don't this doesn't matter first introduced to them on alternative christian radio. i think what they mean by Christian is that their music is God honoring (like they don't cuss and their lyric material) but being a "Christian" band doesn't mean your necessarily sing "Jesus" every other line. they're like the groups underoathe, life in your way, demon hunter, etc. you wouldn't necessarily pin them as "christian" but their musics positve or at least as positive as the metal/hardcore genre can be but more like christians in a band. does that make sense?

Anberlin! Yay, haha I only have their Cities album and the song "Paperthin Hymn", but I love them both so I will probably go out and get their earlier albums soon.
