Haha. De Anza is like down the street from my HS, MVHS. [I FINALLY GRADUATED

]
Anyways.
The college itself is quite fun actually. You'll see lots of Asians for sure. But there lots
of people from other ethnic backgrounds too so yeah don't worry about diversity.
You'll meet lots of people from overseas if you are a full-fledged student. I heard that
lots of Asians come to DA to study. Apparently it is one of the best community colleges?
The atmosphere of DA actually depends on who you hang out with when you're there.
I was there during my HS years to get some extra college credits/ to "expand my horizons"
so me and my friends were dubbed the "over-achieving" HS kids but there were some really
cool people I met there :] Oh yeah. PICK YOUR PROFESSORS WISELY!!!! Use ratemyprofessor.com
it's actually quite accurate.
some are really nice, helpful and just overall cool but...some are just trash. for example,
my friend got an intern at NASA by her professor's reference. I had a professor who didn't show up
75% of the time and then just out of no where decided to canceled the class like 4 weeks into the class

regarding transfers,
There are certain transfer programs you can sign up for. You'll have to ask the counselor. Each college
that accepts transfers from DA has different requirements. Like there used to be one for UCLA and UCSD,
I don't know if they are around anymore, but anyways their requirements were very different. Of course,
UCLA had a few more required courses. If you're going to transfer, you can't slack off. Its getting quite
competitive now.
mm. okay i hope that was somewhat helpful. Sorry if it didn't :\
I'm starting a summer class on the 29th too :] (waitlisted but...whatever)
YOGA
anyone with me? hehe
oh yeah, that's another thing, at De Anza, if you're within #10 in the waiting list, you'll probably get in the class
[unless the class is REALLY popular like PSYCH] so go to the class on the first day. When the professor asks those
wait-listed to get their add#s,
RUSH to the front
