Definitely, the teachers were awesome, and I skipped as many days as I could in 8th grade because I knew it would be the last year to slack off. But DEFINITELY glad it's over, the actual being in school part sucked, my friends kinda did too , people say High School is always better.

3) What are your goals for freshman year?
Nothing at all. Actually, haven't thought about it. Only thing I want to do is be friendly to everyone, and actually "enjoy" the year and remember the moments because once it flies by, you'll be moping. Oh, another goal, make ANY sports team because you need to take gym or be on a sports team to graduate.

Not sure...

Have no clue... just got out of Middle School here haha.

The tip I can give to all incoming freshmen.

Stay positive, always look for opportunities. Remember your goals and work hard. Stay organized, make good realtionships with friends, family, and teachers.

And finally... enjoy it.

nope. i had freshman readiness for 2.5 weeks and orchestra every monday & thursday. and math sat tutoring on sundays (but is ending soon) and math & eng. sat on saturdays. so i still have school. not to mention stupid honors english homework. >___<

to really do well. i mean, i was a real procrastinator when it came to school. at home, i never really studied. or i tried, but failed. XP luckily i still managed my grades well. (too much asian pressure DX) oh, and to do community service. as my mom says to hurry and get rid of it since you're the most free in freshman year. and make better friends. my friends now are pretty good, but...they could be great? iono. it seems like they don't really care about me. though i don't care in general.

Well summer school here depends on which school, @ my school we don't have summer assignments unless you're going into an advanced class.

how come some of you guys are able to take 8 periods?
the max at my school is 7.

cause theres late and early schedule at my school
so to take 8 classes you start early but get out the same time as those who start late
or as a sophmore+ you can just schedule classes without a lunch

plus my school runs on the college Mod system, 20 mods possible in a day
classes can be about 2-3 mods each mod 20 min etc

School's starting on the 9th of September and I haven't even done summer homework! I'm loving the thread, can't wait to see what it's like in 2013. That's way too ahead of myself but it's nice thinking about the future.

we just had our first football game today & we won
makes me want to really join a sport. field hockey, lacrosse, and volleyball is big here
but i don't have the money right now to join this season :/

Finished my first week of high school. I can say the majority of my teachers are better than the ones I had in middle school. Can't believe how much homework I got, 8 pages of math, a written biography & a geography project. Thank god I have at least some of my friends in my classes.
