blah.
Have anyone else heard of The Dirty Darlings? This is my friend's duo with her cousin (Bunny and Bri) and lately I've been listening to their music over and over again. Their voices reminds me of Regina Spektor and Norah Jones.

Pictures taken from their myspace.

Here's some links to their songs, let me know what you guys think because I absolutely love them! LOL! biggrin.gif

Mary Jane
Riochet
Happy

One of Bunny's Original:
Monday Mornings La La's

They don't have a youtube account (at least not that I know of), but Bri post it up on hers --> HERE

Otherwise you can check out their myspaces:

I guess it's because they're not really well known here yet. I know that they just recently started because I attend school with one of the girls and they're looking to put out an album soon. She mentioned to me that they're still recording a couple new songs, but you should check out their individual songs because they're just as good. =)

BTW, I checked our profile and realized you were Hmong. Did you know that the girls are Hmong too? Well, actually I know that Bunny is Hmong (although she doesn't understand or speak the language) but I'm not so sure about Bri. Oh, they were featured on Hmong Today not too long ago. Or rather performed in their studio. You can check out the links here --> 01 02

Wow these girls are adorable! Your comparison to Regina Spektor and Norah Jones is pretty spot on. I really hope they become successful in the future. smile.gif

Yeah, she doesn't know how to speak the language. At least when I last talked to her about it she didn't. She might have picked it up, but I'm not sure. And the reason why is because she grew up very westernized. Both are not from the Twin Cities but surrounding suburbs instead. They have performances coming up if you want to see them. =)

i saw them performed a couple months back at one of them open mics and thought that they were freaken adorable! i love how their videos on youtube are recorded in the bathroom. lol. wish them lots of luck when they release an album. i would definitely support.

They sound cute. I like their Mary Jane song.

I'm not sure but I went to the Hmong arts festival in 2008 and I think it was Bri singing.
She was in the In Session final???
