- Internet Explorer 6 sucks and is buggy, but for some reason there are a large number of you still using it. First, you should use Firefox or something else =p. Second, if you are stuck on IE, then UPGRADE PLEASE - CLICK HERE TO UPGRADE. IE6 doesn't play well with our new site, so please upgrade.

AFTER WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 5, YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW THE EMAIL ADDRESS ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR SOOMPI FORUM ACCOUNT AND PASSWORD TO LOGIN. - Sorry for the delay!

We are relaunching the site on August 5 which will finally include single sign-on for the forums and main site. This will affect you in several ways:

- Everyone will be logged OUT of Soompi and will need to login again for the first time.
- This means you must know your PASSWORD and EMAIL ADDRESS.
- The new login system will ask you for your PASSWORD and EMAIL ADDRESS only - no username.

Main Site Account and Forum Account Merging:

If you want your main site account and forum account merged, then the email addresses for each account must match. Account merging between the main site and forums can only happen ONCE, and that is during the relaunch. If your email addresses are not the same and your accounts are not merged, then there is nothing we can do later. For more information, read this thread.

Your forum username will become your universal username for the whole site. User name changes will still be allowed.

Password Questions:

If you do not know your password, then reset it to something you know now. (Go to "My Controls" on the top right, then it will take you to a control panel where "Change Password" is in the navigation on the left.) We cannot change the password for you - you must do it yourself and it can only be sent to the email associated with the account. Read the FAQs here.

Beta Testing:

Beta testing will begin this week. All FOS will be receiving an email tomorrow with beta site login information!

If you have any issues updating your account info, please PM julanrouge with specific information about what you are trying to do and the text of any error messages you are receiving.

b/c for the forum, i forgot a k in my username-> pandriuma. and for the site, it's pandrikuma.

Question: Why did you decode to implement the new system to use your e-mail address and not simply make your current user name and password system wide?

Question: When the new system is implemented how are we guaranteed our current username or will it be some kind of free for all.

Example:
If my current soompi's user name is "username" and my e-mail address is "username@fomain.extention" my log in when the system is implemented will be "username@fomain.extention" how can I make sure that someone doesn't take my current user name when the new system is implemented?

I for one do not want my e-mail address as my user name so this is an important question to me.

Question: Will there be any front end changes implemented when the new system comes online?

Question: Will our post count, join date, etc. be reset?
