Anyone in and drum corps or just like to watch? I'm the latter, lol.
Thought it might be fun to see who's into drum corps/marching band since the season's just begun =)

im not marching this year but alot of my friends are! im planning on auditioning for phantom next year!

Yeah, next year I'm probably going to try out for SC Vanguard or Blue Devils....though Blue Devils is a pipe dream, lol.

I love DCI! I have been in MArching BAnd for 7 years. My last year was last year. I have been to DCI once and as the first band came out it start thundering and raining.


Finally, MArching BAnd is under the sports section lol.

SC VANGUARD IS AWESOME! i have a friendin the guard there!

Phantom's show last year was AWESOME omg. My school's marching band director works with the Blue Devils so it's like taboo to even mention them XD
I was gonna go see DCI West last weekend but I couldn't >_<

DCI west was pretty awesome =) I just wish there were more drum corps there to watch~
Blue Devils was, as always, brilliant...though I'm speaking from a guard-only perspective, lol. I don't pay too much attention to actual band's music.
Btw, which school's marching band are you in?

Yeah, BD's whole tossing on while chairs thing was like nothing I've ever seen (also a complete self-esteem buster, those people are so talented!). I only wish they had a winter guard that great. I'm so planning on going to the movie theatre airing of finals since I can't afford to even get on a plane to DCI championships.

You're from Logan? James Logan's guard is AMAZING, esp during winter guard. I loved the theme for your show this past season. Our color guard totally worships you all, haha. Woohoo, for guard freaks *high-five*!

Btw I'm from Saratoga, you may have heard of us @ WBA. Our band kids are obsessed with scores, whiny, and tend to be haters to everyone in our class, though. Lol.

But Highschool--marching band was a whole new world for me.
And boy was I in deep.

I remember sitting down to watch DCI one day..that's the first time I had ever heard of the Cavaliers or The Boston Cadets or the Grenaders.
Double 07..that was teh show that got me into it all..

I was wondering if BD's field season guard was different than their winterguard. I was gonna watch it in theatres too but I don't think I'll have any time to go :x

I loved Saratoga's 2007-2008 show. The solo in the beginning was pretty. XD Are you in the guard too? I've been to a couple guard competitions and I liked Saratoga's shows. I'm containing myself from going all bandgeek/guardfreaky

i`m not in any drum corps however i`m on guard & one of our members is marching this season.
i went to watch the show in vista & all the teams were so amazing!
i can`t wait for field season to start :]

A lot of BD's drum corps guard does field there and then during winter, they all go to bigger stuff like SC Vanguard.

Aw, thanks, I'm glad you liked our show =) I wish I'd seen Logan's shows last year, I think I was only able to see the show once last field. Last year's was totally amazing though. Shang-ri La, was it?
Yeah, I'm a total guard freak (it's almost unhealthy XD). Our guard was crap last year, but hopefully this season will be better.



Yeah, I can't wait for field season, too! What organization do you compete in? My school competes in WBA (west coast).
Our guard has actually started our summer rehearsals already =.=

i think we compete in SCSBOA [Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association]
haha summer rehearsals are so HOTT. like blazing.
but it`s okay. haha all the west coast guards have nice tans?
