Does anyone watch this show? I still have a preference for the old version, even though it was rather cheesy but the new one is doing a good job at keeping an audience...

Isn't that the show with the hot asian or something? I don't really like sci-fi movies but I remember some girl...named Grace Park...or something like that on some space show.

I watch it! It's pretty good...so far I've only seen the miniseries and a handful of episodes from season 1 and 2.

I like sci-fi and this show looks interesting... but I feel as though it's too hard to follow... plus I just started watching BG: The Story So Far... right in the middle... hahaha... Great.

The Story So Far did a good job, they missed some things that might've filled out certain situations but yeah, gj watching half of it hahha.

I'm watching the season premier right now... I knew this story would be hard to follow.

I read the wiki entry... Gave me the gist but I'm still lost.

One thing I'm really confused about: is the real Sharon Valerii dead?

And how many Boomer/Sharon cylons are there? I saw one on the ship with old Adama and then there's one on New Caprica. Both are cylons right? I'm getting that the one on the ship thinks she's good.... I don't know what's up with the one on NC.

At the end of S1, Sharon encounters a whole ship full of clones which finally cements her fears about being a cylon.
End of S2, the Sharon that revives in the pool but doesn't accept her identity is the one that shot Adama (not the pregnant Sharon) at the end of S1; she feels a connection w/Six (the NC versions)
The Sharon thats w/Adama+Helo was the pregnant one.

The pregnant Sharon knew she was a cylon from the start but when she fell in love w/Helo, she tried to be good, like the 'real' Sharon that everyone knew. Over time, as things started to fall apart, she got more homicidal.

They'll elaborate more on the NC Sharon. So we'll see how in touch she is w/her human side after what happened in S2. All in all, they're all cylons until they do some "before Sharon got cloned" nonsense.

Great ep and its too obvious as to what happened in the end lol. Especially on what is going to unfold as the premise of this season.

^Okay, so after watching the mini movie and the first two eps of s1 I get why you answered the way you did. And I see why my question doesn't even really make sense. *sigh* I just wish she wasn't what she is...
So I've only seen ep1 of season 3, the mini movie, and the first 2 eps of season 1... My comment is in regard to those eps:

- Its so weird seeing who everyone is now hooked up with (compared to s1).
- Gaius Baltar and Six (whatever her name is...) could not be more annoying... I know they are a pivotal part of the show but I can't stand him, her, and their screen time.
- Starbuck has changed... (Ok, everyone has... But she's getting scarier...)
- Apollo is cute in s1 (hopefully in s2 also...obviously I'm a girl )

Which brings me to another point... Is it odd that a girl watches this show? When asking my friend to burn me s1, he was surprised and said it was weird... I mean I know this is a male oriented show (and don't argue with me because I'll say one word and win: Six) but I like sci-fi and it has a pretty cool storyline. Anyways... I can't wait for the rest of s3.

And continue to post spoilers! It gives me something to look forward to. ^^

I felt the same way about Baltar and Six for an ep or two, until I realized just how good and dynamic they are in the show. I realized that I didn't answer you completely about teh Sharon thing, but there isn't a solid # haha.

I agree though, Apollo is a handsome guy (no homo!) then you see how far most, if not all the crew and reg. cast members have fallen in S3.

Not odd at all for a girl to watch BSG. Good looking ppl aside, it has a great story that keeps viewers hooked and to an extent, a space opera. Not to be compared to rubbish like... I don't know. Passions or something haha.

Had BSG been on FOX, the series would've bit the dust just like Firefly, which was amazing for its unfortunate short run.

Okay, I'll watch the rest of S1 and S2, while watching S3... hahaha... BUT you MUST answer this question for me 'cause it will drive me bonkers if you don't:

Is there are a real Sharon Valerii? I mean... a REAL one. From the little that I have seen... I just figured that the cylons that look like humans were just made...

Oh, and I also wanted to say that you don't have to post things that have already aired (like S1, S2 info) as spoilers on my behalf. Because they really aren't spoilers. Plus, I've been watching BSG in a nonsensical order (BSG: The Story So Far, S3 ep1, S1 ep 1 and 2).

Aw, and "Miss Helo"... that's so adorable. What I thought was THE sweetest moment was when Helo and Sharon were looking at their baby and she said "We made that." Hahaha...

Haha, ok I don't know for sure but they probably do have an original pure human one for each model or atleast bred and altered via the genes / embryo.

Maybe Sharon is technically 40 years old after the first war, they managed to get a hold of embryo's and have been tweaking them ever since, growing them in batches until its just right lol.

Well, then I can't spoil much bc I tried not to read much into the happenings of S3. I just feel that Miss Helo will turn her back on the humans again, and someone unexpected will help Adama and crew.

Starbuck and Conoy are damn freaky. I thought the kid would blow up or something lol.

I finished Season 1! It was awesome. I'm hooked.

Okay, so I figured out why I don't like Gaius and Six. Aside from being a broken record: Gaius - "I'm not on any side." Six - "Repent. God loves you. God has a plan for you." (I get it already...) I'm just completely dying to know whether a) Gaius is nuts/feeling guilty and that's why he sees Six, Six really did implant a chip in his head, c) Gaius is a cylon, or d) God is really speaking to him. I just want to know which one it is already!!

*In S2, the Dr scans Baltar's head and doesn't find anything foreign, so that rules out a chip. Six also denies it later on in the season iirc.
And for a while, lots of viewers figured him to be a cylon, except his personal thoughts, actions and whatnot ruled it out.
I don't think it was fully explained, its more like an imprint / conscience; Caprica Six (in S2, appeared to have "died" along w/Baltar when she tried to shield him from the Caprica nuke[might not be true.. I think]) has images of that specific Baltar as well.
But that doesn't work, bc Six tells him things he doesn't even know himself. The baby+Miss Helo, being one of them.*

I can't wait a few days till ep3 =\ After watching S1, did anyone else come to mind, as to the other human cylons? I still have one name but I'd be completely surprised if it was actually true.

Oh man, the latest episode gave me a bad feeling about things to come for Sharon Agathon. Her whole "Adama wouldn't lie to me" line... yikes.

Which leads me to a question because I haven't watched S2, but does Adama know about the baby swap? I know Roslin knows... but who else?

One more question (heh, of course...) do they ever address how Gaius survived the Caprica bombing/explosion? I know res0nate you mention him dying with Caprica Six but in the show... how do they explain him surviving the blast?

And I don't care if Tyrol is married to Cally and had a baby with her... they just don't seem to "work" for me. I can see Cally in love with him... but I don't think he loves her like he loved Sharon.

And what's up with Ellen's face? That's been bugging me... she has this like weird mark/scar on her upper lip area...

Roslin + secretary, Adama, Doc Cottle and.. I think thats all they revealed. I'd have to watch the ep again to see if anyone else was present and or told.

I'm assuming Ellen got beat by Cavill; they never showed anything about that in the webisodes or what actually lead to Tigh's arrest. It jumped from planning something big to.. bam, right there inthe slammer.

Haha, I can understand the Cally thing. It was one of those things where it was subtle in S1/2 and all of a sudden in S3.

Great episode. You're right, I'm wondering how Miss Helo is going to react when she finds out the truth. I never thought of that particular reason why she might turn on everyone.

I forgot the reporter / clone on BSG that had footage of Sharon while pregnant was Xena lol.

Not too sure what happened to Ellen after Tigh gave her the evil eye. Gaius looks like he's gonna go crazy next week.

What really got me though is what Helo and Dee were talking about.

"Take care of our son." - Helo
Uhh, unless I didn't hear that properly. If he was talking about Odama's son, ok fine, but our son?

Oh and I did not like how they spoiled something for next week. Lame.

That was kind of puzzling... But I'm pretty sure it was in reference to Apollo and Pegasus leaving. It better be... because if they end Sharon and Helo's relationship due to someone else (Dee, for that matter)... I won't be happy.

And I hope they (the writers) don't do what we expect and have Sharon react the way I'm dreading she will. Please, no.

I've also been trying to make sense of all the babies and their age on the show. Okay, so we should be able to concur that Sharon's baby should be the oldest because she was pregnant first (at least before Cally). But Cally and Sharon's baby look kinda close in age... or more than they should be. And then there's Starbuck's baby... who is the oldest... but I thought Leoben mentioned that he was able to salvage something from the farm, which happened in S2 (which I still haven't watched)... but pregnant Sharon was in S1. So how could it be that Kacey was really born through a surrogate (human) woman and be older than Sharon's baby?

The only time they really show Hera up close was at the end of S2 when Roslin is teaching class. Its been a year since they landed on NewCap, plus the time of the actual birth, I'd say Hera is about 13-14 months old.
At the end of S2, Cally was probably 9 months.

Then add the 4 months of occupation and I think it looks just about right?

About Kacey, I'm pretty sure the cylons can quick grow the clones. Cos if they couldn't I'd find it hard to believe that they were growing Cavill for 60 odd years and the others for their respective ages.

I think a big difference is that Kacey was bred / grown while Hera was birthed naturally. I guess the only thing they have in common is that they're mixed blood (unless Kacey is fully human, a product of parents that died during the occupation)

I'm just guessing that the baby farms were the initial startup phase, then turned into test tube babies after xx months and altered.

I don't understand how everyone on the ship could just so readily disregard her after all she has done. Especially Adama. Then again.. the cylons ARE a living nightmare. I bet ya, even though Adama said the book is closed... Apollo is going to be pissed. Oh... I hope Helo doesn't die.

This season is slowly getting better.

I thought that the prisoners would somehow 'see the light' and follow Sharon into becoming an individual.

As for the ppl on the ship, I guess its always that constant fear that you can never be 100% sure about Sharon. Much like how Gaeta suffered under the scrutiny for supporting Baltar. (Tigh apparently, still on the fence, after what happened 2 weeks ago)

I wonder if they'd get Cottle to create the encephalitis instead.

I'm not a real big fan of this season. S1 was just all around good. I never watched S2. S3... the many different storylines aren't as refined... I don't know how to describe it but they've made a few of the characters a little boring (Athena, Helo, etc...). And I'm not too fond of the new vipers (still new in my book): Kat, Hotdog, and that other girl. LOL. They will just never belong, in my book.

I don't think s3 is that bad, the focus shifted to all the internal turmoil between some of the core characters. Eventually they'll get around to the ones that went off the radar (Chief, Athena, Dee, Anders, etc)

Hotdog is Adama's son irl. Kat being the only other worthwhile Viper pilot is like Thrace sans love issues.

I was surprised w/the last ep though; I thought Bulldog would do something crazy at the end, possibly taking the Raptor and going back to the Cylons.

I like what they're doing w/Baltar, Six and D'anna though.

I have to say, the boxing ep wasn't bad. Was worried that it'd be some lame filler but it wasn't haha.

Admiral Adama and the Pres would've been perfect if they weren't in the middle of a war.

I actually liked this episode a lot, and it has revived my interest in the rest of season 3.

It was nice to see some of those people just finally beat the crap out of each other because you know they've been wanting to for awhile. Helo vs. Apollo. Niiice.

And I cannot wait to see what Duwalla will do. I hope she gets mad and does something big, instead of being so subtle.

Starpollo is weird. I do not think they "belong" together. They are like sister and brother.

And did I miss something? When did Starbuck and Athena become friendly?

I'm starting to appreciate this season for what it is instead of comparing it to the first season. BSG really is one of the best shows on television.

If memory serves me right, I think Kara warmed up to Athena in the latter half of s2 (which you still have to watch ;p)

Nothing but goosebumps. Finally finished the ep and I'm annoyed that I've got to wait till Jan until S4 (which is, apparently, the final season) to start.

I love how Tigh is 'one' though hahah. So good.
