Ill be a senior this fall.
The days are going by so quickly and a lot of people have asked me am I ready to graduate...I said no...Im not even thinking about graduating yet.
Even though the school I attend isnt the best place to be and the people arent the best..not once have I said aloud that Im ready to leave highschool.
I use this method call DEAL AND MANAGE.

Can I wish to still be in high school?
I miss it =(
moderato.
Jul 7 2009, 12:16 AM
I have those days where I just want to finish school already.
But if high school gets compared to uni, high school is way better.
So, I say enjoy high school.
Besides, a lot of people that left high school wants to go back because of the great memories.
.. corny.

High school is the best time of a particular life. There are things you can't do unless your high school! Friendships and love are also blossoming at that point. I like it. I missed HS.

Jul 7 2009, 01:42 AM
High school is nothing special for me lmao. I'm an incoming senior, looking forward to leaving the house.
Also meeting new people since I don't have many close ties to anyone in particular at school.

Omg I was just thinking that today!!
I really want to get over (but nonetheless ENJOY) my senior year coming up!!!! Aaaaugasdhglajsd just one more year before I finally get to experience some college life-- good or bad. I think I'm just really looking forward to something different (-:
But yes T__T there is still a lot of work left to be done. Stupid college apps waaah.

Me! Me! *raises hand* xD
This is kind of unrelated but I just want to say, my name is Erika too and I'm also born in March 1993.
Anyway I'm like the opposite of everyone who thinks high school = sweet memories.
Ever since hs started, pretty much all my friends got separated into their own little cliques T__T
And since then it's like everyone has lost their innocence ya know? Drugs, partying, and all that shizz.
I'm not saying you won't see that in college but yeahh. I just want to start over and move on with my life.

I'm already in college, but would like to pop in to say:
I know how many of you are feeling - "wow I cannot wait to get out of here & be on my own. Freedom! WOO!" Trust me, graduating high school and moving on to college is a turning point in life and is one of the most exciting experiences in life. Truth be told though, the transition comes with a lot of new responsibilities. You can still seek help for what classes to take, etc but the ultimate decisions now lay in your hands. Financial aid and school fees are under your eye now - no more people taking care of it for you. Lots of deadlines for transfer, class drop/add, etc are in your control too. Homework/tests, etc are all on you now. No more naggy teachers lecturing about deadlines.
Not trying to scare you guys off, but just know that college comes with a price (pun was unintended, but it fits perfectly). Grades are deathly important, so try not to slack off freshman year, when it's easiest to do so. Financial aid depends on your academic performance, too and given the current economy (esp for California), educational aid is decreasing a lot - so keep the grades up if you want the most aid possible. The best thing about college is your newfound sense of freedom and independence, but use it wisely.
Good luck everyone!

I can't relate to anyone here.
I actually LIKED being in high school.
Although as a typical teenager, I complained and whined about my schoolwork, I actually enjoyed certain classes and even the monotonous schedule, because I like familiar things and I very much dislike changes.
So now I feel a bit lost considering I just graduated.
Enjoy what you have now, especially the classes and the teachers, because college will be completely different.

I'm a senior next year and all I'm looking forward to is graduation, formal/prom/banquet [whatever you want to call it], partying, karaoke, playing.. You get the drift. I want to move out. High school's nothing special.. I can't be bothered to make anything out of it. It was good, but now I'm just a little sick of it.. Too much has happened, and everything is over-dramatized.

like most out-of-highschoolers said, enjoy every moment of it. hang out more, be nice, take things for granted, and don't procrastinate (it sucks).
i honestly miss seeing the same people everyday.
and after all those exams, essays, sats, whatever, it'll be worth it at the end (..hopefully).

OHHH GAWWD PLEASE HELP ME GET OUT ARLEADY!!!

I am 110% ready for college. I'm going to blast my brains out at this rate. I got senioritis halfway through sophomore year so it's just killer studying when I dont want to. I hope the last two years of high school breeze by 50x faster than this summer did. T_T

i love high school. pretty awesome except for the homework and all but still...
i'm going to community college at the same time as high school. it's different. CC is a lot bigger and the community seems to be a lot closer. there's less clubs though... only around 30. my high school has over 80 official clubs and more unofficial.
and guys junior year is the hardest year of high school. if you make it through that then you'll get a huge confidence booster. i don't know how many times a week i stayed up past 12 doing homework

APUSH was killer. the class is easy, but the amount of work is unbelievable.

honestly, entering senior year will be hell, but i don't want to leave high school.
from there on, you're completely on your own, at least in hs, you have a few of those adults who support you when you've made mistakes. plus, it's one step further into your future, and honestly, i'm scared of what my future holds for me.

but at the same time, i want to enjoy the high school days because the friends i have now, may not be the friends i have when i go to college

Mehhhhh. I'm a junior and I seriously am SO ready to get out of school.
Period.
I'm being so lazy this year. lol
But at least I'm doing my work.
Well, the projects anyway. The homework.. not so much.. Lol
Dear God. What will happen to me next year if I'm already so lazy?? T__T;
I've always hated school. Ever since I ..probably.. elementary. HAHA. Set schedules aren't really my style. It feels so.. drab and boring. =__=

I want to go to college because I like flexible hours.
I don't want to go to college because there is more pressure
to get better grades.
I also still don't want to go to college because high school
is beginning to be easier T-T.
Btw, I'm a senior.

i'm a sophomore in high school right now. h ated my freshman year (can't remember why, though

)
for college, i'm really looking forward to the freedom and the independence, but i'm hella scared of what's going to happen, and the responsibility, and stuff like that. so for now i'll enjoy being a naive 15-year-old

I'm pretty much done with high school...I just need my art class and I can leave.
Unfortunately I need my IB diploma...so I'll have to stay until 2011.

The good thing is that I'll start out as sophomore when I go to collage in the fall of 2011.

Well that is if I decided to go to a Design school instead of a University or Private college.

whenever i get up to go to school in the mornings, i dread another day in my school, lol. but then i look back and realize that i'm so used to everything that i've done for the past 4 years, so to start new after graduating will really take time to get used to. especially since i'm not even sure what my plans will be once i graduate in 2010. so in a way, i wanna leave school already, but in a strange way, i don't.

I want senior year to be over already so I can move onto college.

But I don't want to go to college just because of "freedom"... it's because I want to experience something new!
(And also because I want college apps to just zoom by and accept me already.)
I've been at my current school for almost 8 years now (middle school too) and I'm getting slightly tired of it.
I love my friends a lot still, but I want to try new things with new people.

like what? midterms every week leading up til finals? =_= that is definitely a new experience.
in the end you don't get freedom.... well you do, except you won't have time to do anything much other than studying and "homework" so yeah.
i would say you get more freedom in high school than in university in actuality.
