Plot: "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present day. It tells the story of Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary 'Imaginarium', a traveling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom. Blessed with the extraordinary gift of guiding the imaginations of others, Dr Parnassus is cursed with a dark secret. Long ago he made a bet with the devil, Mr Nick, in which he won immortality. Many centuries later, on meeting his one true love, Dr Parnassus made another deal with the devil, trading his immortality for youth, on condition that when his first-born reached its 16th birthday he or she would become the property of Mr Nick. Valentina is now rapidly approaching this 'coming of age' milestone and Dr Parnassus is desperate to protect her from her impending fate. Mr Nick arrives to collect but, always keen to make a bet, renegotiates the wager. Now the winner of Valentina will be determined by whoever seduces the first five souls. Enlisting a series of wild, comical and compelling characters in his journey, Dr Parnassus promises his daughter's hand in marriage to the man that helps him win. In this captivating, explosive and wonderfully imaginative race against time, Dr Parnassus must fight to save his daughter in a never-ending landscape of surreal obstacles - and undo the mistakes of his past once and for all.

Here are some information:

- Due to Heath Ledger's death, the movie had to be stopped for a while. Heath Ledger filmed 1/3 of the movie and after his death, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell was added in to portray Heath Ledger's character, Tony. The last scene with Heath Ledger was when he fell into the mirror. When Ledger's character (Tony) goes into other worlds, (Johnny, Colin and Jude) "physically transformed versions" of the character [they said that so the viewers will understand why from Heath changing into Johnny, Colin and Jude]

- Gilliam, determined to "salvage" the film, initially considered using computer-generated imagery to make Heath Ledger's character magically change his appearance, perhaps into another character, in order to keep his final work in the film, and, if the film was made, would dedicate it to Ledger. The imagery would be similar to transformation techniques seen on Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and those employed to Roy Scheider in his posthumous release Iron Cross.

- Gilliam (the director) altered the part of the credits saying "A Terry Gilliam film" to "A film from Heath Ledger and friends."
-Johnny was a friend of Gilliam, Jude and Colin are both friends of Heath

- Johnny, Colin and Jude gave up their salaries for this movie to Matilda (Heath Ledger's daughter) who was not on his old will.

This film is going to be fantastic.

Definitely looking forward to this film. I am such a fan of Gilliam. All his movies are very dear to my heart. I remember growing up and just being fascinated by his movies, especially Time Bandits. It'll also be interesting to see Heath Ledger in his final film moments.

I'm so bumped this movie isn't getting the attention it deserves!!!! I saw this clip at YT for the fans who are spreading the words out about this movie on streets all by themselves!!!! where is the distribution company? why doesn't this movie get a worldwide release? there were people on streets who didn't even know there's a movie that gives you the chance to watch Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Collin Farell and Jude Law all together in a fantasy world of your imagination directed by the amazing Terry Gilliam??? they were kinda like begging people to go and see it!

I am so anticipating this movie. It already looks amazing from the trailer and I'm curious as to how the 4 portrayals are going to work out. The cast is absolutely great too. RIP Heath Ledger.
