For playing music, I use Winamp because it plays a wide range of formats. For synching music to my mp3/ipod, I use Window's Media Player because it nicely organizes my music into artists.

iTunes makes my computer slow as well.

I have been using winamp for 3+ years now.

WMP. Windows Media Player!

The easiest thing to use.

I tried all mainstream media players.
All failed to my exceptions, I just want to listen to the music and that's it.
No ads, no long start-up time, no fancy skins.
And I finally found what I need.

Foobar2000

It's open source so you can script your own stuff, add skins if you want, plugins, loads and loads of plugins.

Itunes, but I'm looking for a new software.

JetAudio... is just love baby~

Windows Media Player, it's simple and easy to use. I use only iTunes for transferring songs to my ipod.

Windows Media ;D

WMP for playing songs. The library automatically updates right away once I download something.
Itunes is always asking me if I want updates & whatnot. It not only makes my laptop lag, but it takes time to put in my songs and such.
rightkindofblues
Windows Media Player for listening to songs.
iTunes for updating my iPod.

The only downside of WMP for me is that it updates automatically everytime I start the program. So if if my music isn't organized and I move it, it shows up as an error and then I'd have to fix it. (Not sure if there is a way around this, but I'm using the newest version and it's all weird and I don't know where all the settings are anymore lmfao).

I use Winamp...cuz iTunes always lags. =\

itunes sucks. it works fine on apple computers but on PCs they lag and they arent even good compared to other media players. they dont update by themself & don't delete stuff that are no longer on your hard drive.

anyways i use Winamp : D have been using it for ~7 years. Works awesome. Skins + fast updating + supports the file types i use+ no lag + very organized.

I use Emodio, I love the DNSe settings, makes my music a lot better. Although, the organization could be a lot better.

I use itunes & windows media player for the desktop.

iTunes is a nightmare when it comes to using memory, especially when you're trying to run it in the background while multi-tasking. I use Winamp for the most part just 'cause it's easier to manage a large library while still maintaining a low level of memory usage. I used to use Windows Media Player, but leaving it open for too long creates security issues. Other players, I have just in case for burning/tagging purposes, but otherwise it's too much of a hassle for me to reconfigure and reconsolidate to other player specifications.

winamp! i've been using it for the longest time..
i only use itunes when i need to put stuffs on my ipod smile.gif

JetAudio for the win. It doesn't slow my computer down, it's easy to use and there are a lot of features that comes with it; you can convert videos and mp3's and i love how i can use it as a toolbar. Winamp can do it too, but Jetaudio actually stays on the foreground. AND it plays ALL video and mp3 formats, like flac and .mkv files. Plug-ins are love as well.
i love this player to death.

Winamp and WMP are nothing compared to this one. I won't ever go back to them now that I have Jetaudio <3
