Second of all sorry for the name.. But it's really called that way They really should've put a little bit more time into naming their phones.. Not very good for the international market. Seriously.. Even portal phone would've been better.. Ok no more about the name..

From what I understand out of the commercials it has an autoflip function. Which is basically flipping open when you press a button.
Apparently it has a 2MP camera (Thanks quirkyrocket!)

They've released 4 commercials with Lee Minho, kim Hyun joong and UEE. Very funny you should definitely check them out.

My opinion:

Nice phone I like the white and the colourful (uhm cough) dot. But I think it's less stylish than the lollipop and Icecream. It's cute though. I look forward to some clips where it's actually used.

They seem to have used the same themes inside as the lollipop? Something looks familiar there..
What do you guys think? Will this phone become available unlocked? (We'll see but it will probably take ages anyway)

okay... yes they need to start finding better names.. in terms of looks - it's weird with random circle there o__O stands out too much IMO looks like a child's phone. definitely.. unusual..
ok i like the pink & silver but i still think the exterior is really random looking

edit- btw the auto flipping function is already in a lot of japanese phones.. where you press a button at the side to let it auto open.

LOL when I found out the phone's name was Magic Hole, I was like lolinnuendo - terrible name.
I think they meant it as in "Magical", though... they should've just named it Magical. Portal sounds fine, too.

In the cfs it looks as a swirling kind of vortex, and apparently there's a similar action available as in the Icecream and lollipop phones. Hearts and stuff.

Newer phones are often more easily unlocked, especially with a HyperSIM. Hopefully this phone works a lot better when unlocked than the 2700.

i personally think the phone only looks good cos min ho is holding/using it. : P : P

OMG, when I saw these commercials while channel surfing I thought it was fake. It's now become party fodder with foreigners living in Korea. Someone asks about what kind of phone someone has and immediately, someone else makes a comment about "MAGIC HOLE!!!!"

Seriously, they need to get some of these names approved by ACTUAL English speakers, not rich old men who think they speak English fluently and are working for LG. Cooky? Um, did you mean "cookie"? My kids now spell the word "cookie" wrong every damn time. Ugh.

maydai3333: You may say that American phones are behind, but Korean phones are SO EXPENSIVE that it's not even funny. I'd take a 1/2 year old American model over a new Korean one any day, because phones like the Cyon Viewty and the Haptic were over $900 when they first came out, compared to things like Blackberries in the US that sold for only a couple hundred. Also, Korean cell phone carriers have it so that--yes, you can watch tv, download songs, etc--but you pay for ALL of it. Internet is $1 per minute. Same with TV shows. The Blackberry (with it's free wifi) was JUST allowed to come to Korea a few months ago after battling it out with Korean lawmakers for years. The iPhone will probably never get released. Korean companies know that if the iPhone comes out, it will absolutely DESTROY the Korean phones. The Blackberry just came out, but it will never be on sale in Korean phone stores for the general public--they are keeping the numbers very small. The only way to get one is to have a good connection who can set you up with a private appointment with a Blackberry rep.

At first, I thought Korean phones were awesome, too, but then you realize it's all about silly gimmicks and colors. When it comes to actual content...they are WAY far behind the Blackberry and iPhone. I was looking for a ringtone on my Korean Ice Cream phone and it ended up costing me $40...just to SEARCH for the song! You can't drag and drop songs into your phone--the MP3s only work if they are purchased through the carrier's website. Same with tv shows. Koreans freak when they see my Blackberry because they think it's a mini computer phone--there is nothing available like that in Korea. A "magic hole" and light up LED panel will only get you so far.

That's all I could find for now. If I find more, I will add to it. There are some videos and pictures you can click on too to see the phone in action. I like the blue one so far and to me, the front cover or "hole" is almost like a light show (if you look at the videos) but for $400... definitely not something I would consider getting. I have no idea if it's compatible with Canada/outside of Korea yet but if it is, definitely interested in seeing how much they will market for. It's a very fun-packed fun with all the things you can do.

No problem ^___^ I guess the phone is not really meant to be used as a camera phone (I would go for the japanese phone models or newer smartphones for that), that may be why. I would use this phone just to customize and to play around with it. Wouldn't really use it as a camera though (from a review I'm reading). I also found out that this phone will work in North America~ updated info. above ^___^
