Just wondering if there is anyone who has gotten or seriously thinking about plastic surgery. Experience? Why? What? I'd like to know.

No bashing please. None of that love-who-you-are 'advice' please. If there's a thread like this let me know.

I thought about getting blepharoplasty (remove fat in lower eyelids) when I was younger, since I have pretty bad eye bags. Makes me look old.

Stopped caring after I grew up and realized that guys just get more attractive as we get older... and richer. That, and I'm not gonna become a model any time soon, so whatever tongue.gif
erure
I've never really thought about it... I guess if I really cared about my looks to the extent that I'd consider plastic surgery, I'd try to lose weight first >_<
Meenuh
There may be a thread like this in the Beauty section but then again, how many of the kids here have had plastic surgery right? Aside from your average double eyelid surgery. I've never had it.. i'm too scared to go under the knife and I wouldn't even know what to change about myself. Lol.
xstarBURST
seryberry, i think htat was her username had plastic surgery. I remembered she had a thread about it.

HERMIT
The only plastic surgery I've ever done was whenever I successfully extracted my credit cards out of my wallet.

When I modelled in my younger years I was tempted to opt for nose surgery because I find my nose to be ridiculously large, thank you Father's Filipino genes. sleep.gif

But after not pursuing this career, I didn't bother, although I am rather self conscious about my big fat nose still.

If i come across hair loss problems in the future, i may consider some type of surgery for that.

Iki_Iki_Banaan
thought about it? yes. considered it? no. way too expensive.
but i always thought about doing my nose, guess that's the number one plastic surgery (after to breasts?)
Temoin la Nuit
Nose is the #1, more common than breasts, apparently.

It's supposed to be like a "gateway" plastic surgery.
sabchy
im thinkin about fixin my nose but for now Im broke
its soo expensive

Breasts are still #1 in the US, especially in California. I think part of it is that those who get breast surgery sometimes undergo more surgeries to get it fixed or adjusted.
weird&short
nope. but i have nothing against it. I thought of the hair removal laser surgery though but no knife cutting.

I wanted to get blepharoplasty when I was younger around 15 or 16 year old. Back then I was sensitive to any changes to my face, so I was always so insecure about my eye bags... and still am. They make me look a lot older and grumpy. I'm still seriously considering this surgery once I get my career going. I mean, it's important to express and feel good about oneself. And people make quick judgments of others really easily...
PDURRR
i've wanted double eyelid surgery on and off

i'm not sure if lasik surgery counts as plastic surgery but yeah i want that as well..well more than double eyelids anyway lol
Jee-Wan
i wanna look like michael jackson
DreamingSaturn
Pffft... if I could afford it I would get veneers and some microdermabrasion.
Lex87
I personally have no problem with plastic surgery, as long as you're doing it to make yourself happy. When some dude wants his girlfriend to get bigger boobs then I have a problem with it. I've had a procedure done and have never regretted it.

Cheers

when my boobs start sagging 15-20 years later, that's when I'm getting a boob job.

me too.
i'm sure i'm going to need one, since I've D cups
I probably will have like F cups when I'm pregnant unsure.gif
also a tummy tuck after I have baby/babies, to remove sagging stomach skin, if necessary.
ling_ling
I have had my eyelids done twice
first time was non-incisional (thread method)
and second time was revisional+muscle correction

I guess I am still young so still quite insecure and havent really learnt not to care O_O
lol
But the older I get I do find I want surgery less ~
During high-school I really wanted surgery ~ nose and breast
But not im not that bothered
But the eyelid was a correctional thing from when i was 16 ~ got them redone when i was 19 smile.gif

I dont think I'll be getting anymore ~
Maybe nose ~ but I'm starting to feel okay but only like 60%
Sophisticate
A's here.
So I'm getting boobs asap.
aymei
yeah I've thought about getting rhinoplasty
but definitely waaayyy too expensive
Millou
I haven't really thaught about plastic surgery. But I've tried to push my tummy fat towards my boobs to make them bigger.
PristineNyte
I plan on getting breast surgery as soon as I can comfortably afford to. Not even because I dislike my breasts, I actually love them and think they're perfect, but that's exactly why I'm getting it -- insurance!

Boobs sag and just look worse over time. That's life. So implants are basically insurance. I'm gonna get the same size I have now, maybe a tiny bit fuller just because of how the implants sit.

I can't wait. . .but I have to :<

My bf is a boob-man. He had suggested several times for me to get implants. I jokingly tell him: attach a Dirk Diggler dong onto your body and I'd consider it.

It doesn't bother me if people get it done as long as they admit it when others ask. My sis got her boobs done last year, but she does work in a "gentlemn's club". I wonder if it's tax deductible. lol

One of my aunts manages a plastic surgery clinic and she tells me horror stories of men who call, saying they injected something into their penis and now it's been hard for 2 days and painful. Nothing to laugh about, but OMFG!
[HyuNi]
actually, they would be tax deductible... tongue.gif

did it work?
cavil.
I have some problems with it, but people are able to make their own choices so I respect a lot of my friends who are choosing to do plastic surgery like nose, cheekbones, and whatnot. Though, I tell them time and time again that the nature of beauty is perception in sensitive to motion and time. It doesn't work. So, I tell them, I find them beautiful always.

However, it's the capacity for such easy change that worries me. The incursion of such vanity.
HEYangieeGIRL
really just want to get my nose done but it's expensive.. as for right now I don't really care about my nose...

I disagree with this. While I personally would have no problem admitting it, I don't believe anyone should feel like they HAVE to tell ANYONE if they got surgery done. Whose business is it, really, other than the person getting the surgery?
little mixed girl
i thought about it a lot in elementary school.
but i also thought that what you do is permanent and seeing all those 20/20, dateline live, etc shows showcasing messed up plastic surgery made me reconsider trying it.

I had a couple of moles removed some years ago. I'm looking at getting one of my eyelids fixed. I've got double eyelids but my right eyelid sags a bit in the corner because of an injury to my eye when i was a kid. It makes me look sleepy all the time. Apparently it's also causing pressure on my cornea.
Robbey
I don't like the idea of plastic surgery so much. Everyone is beautiful from the inside. Exercising and makeup would do just fine.

Of course it's no one's business, but if someone politely ask (especially if it's obvious) just say yes or no. More than likely it would be an a$$hole who would give that person crap about it. Some people are just curious.

Well of course. But there are others who outright lie that they've had work done. Even if you don't admit it, don't lie. I also hate people who act so against plastic surgery and condemn it and others who've had it...and then go get work done later.
"Yeah! I love my nose! It's makes me UNIQUE!!111"
"What happened now?"

I would get my nose done, and if anyone asked me, I'd tell them.
emmaliclious
I zero interest in plastic surgery. I want to be valued for more than looks. I am content with the way God made me.
crucifyxmyheart
I've been more open to it a few years ago. I'm not close minded now persay, but I think I've gotten to a point where I'm comfortable about the face I was born with. It would feel a little like looking into a stranger's face at first. Haha. But, people get used to things as long as you have enough time.

It is a pretty expensive process, something that needs maintenance. You don't want to look freakishly something for whatever age. I'm curious about how I'll deteriorate naturally. For now, anyway.
ko0ty
I'm all for plastic surgery if it's going to make someone happy and more confident with themselves. I don't think plastic surgery is anybody else's business and don't understand why they would care if someone else is doing it ... it's not like they are being forced to.
LennyRin
im not planning to get plastic surgery but i have been seriously thinking about it.. i hate my nose.. i inherited my dad's big nose lol.. not that its a bad thing i mean, i love my dad =] lols.. but i just hate my nose XP... my mom actualy encouraged me to get surgery.. XD .. i dont think surgery is a bad thing.. as long as people dont over do it
MissLadyBunny
I think boob jobs and nose jobs are two most common things beside Botox and chemical peals.Lipo is so risky cause you can catch serious bacterial infections that can be fatal if not caught in time.

I would lose weight and get a boob job. I know girls my age go get botox in order to refresh their face, It you are 22 something year old getting botox then there is something wrong with you.Just take better care of your skin.

The only morphing I would do to my body is getting tattoos. To me tattoos has more value then getting plastic surgery.Even though it is still consider a taboo in many societies.I'm lady who loves ink more then surgical knifes. Whatever makes YOU happy and keeps your body well at the end should be the only thing that matters.

I'll be honest.
I want it and I would get it in the future.
I_broke_a_nail!
I got my eyes done. And to be honest, the whole procedure was a-okay and not much of a bother (though the first couple of weeks I was really hideous D= ) But I look a lot better now and my confidence boosted up so much more -- regardless of the whole inner beauty and such.

But, one thing is for sure, if after pregnancy, my stomach looks like a nasty raisin with hanging skin, I will get it done. And if I end up aging ungracefully---things will be done!
delacroix
I've done some research out of pure curiosity - generally the higher the quote you get, the uglier you are. Yes, I wanted to measure my beauty in dollars, don't judge me, I'm an accounting student =P

Anyways, apparently my quote comes to about 7k. Yes, 7000 dollars. Its for cutting my chin so that it would look less square and more round. The ugly ass Korean comedians get quote of about 10k to 15k. I felt pretty john teshing ugly =P
bubblishxtrem
A few years ago, I contemplated going for more boobs. Buttttt...I rationed that a whole ton of clothes and awesome bras are worth more than a cup size with maintanence work. I think plastic surgery is alright if it boosts your self esteem, but not to the point where you look like a complete stranger. That becomes a honest outright lie to the world...and what happens when your baby pops out? They'll think they're adopted or feel very unattractive compared to the parents' "looks".
hbunnynote
I havent gotten anything done but I would seriously consider it ONLY if it was for pursuing an entertainment career.
Wish4Invisibility
editedit. can someone delete this post sad.gif I broke the rules. this is over age 20.
hayabusa01
Ah, I'd do it. Yet I'm still too insecure to even admit what I'd want done, lol.
jerseycity
i'm sure guys who have small to average dicks want to get theirs done.
mo.NeMo81
Even if I could, I'm still too scare about going under the knife.
