i want to buy a nikon SLR d40.
after doing alot of research online i found a lot of good deals from these companies.
such as Centraldigital,buyer's edge, butterflyphoto, etc
however i also read alot of reviews claiming these are scams. but there were also some good reviews too.
anyone know a reliable place to buy cameras?

this is my first SLR camera and i dont want to take any risks.

You can always snag great deals on sites like craigslist and kijiji. You can even find ones that are new with warranties intact, like I did.

Just bring along a fellow photography buddy to check out the goods before the transaction. And ALWAYS do person-to-person meetups.
